  • Hello Daniel,

I've used your data fields twice running World runs in Vienna and they worked like a charm...super precise.

Last year I couldn't start, but I recognized that they changed a bit about the catcher car speed.

Would it be possible to adapt your data fields to the new car

    speeds?

I've tried  a to attach a screenshot of the information of the official homepage but it didn't work...so here's a copy paste from the homepage

    Catcher Car speeds

    • 11:00 UTC – Race Start
    • 11:30 UTC – Catcher Car Starts – Pace of 14 kph (approx. 8.7 mph)
    • 12:00 UTC – Pace Increase to 15 kph (9.32 mph)
    • 12:30 UTC – Pace Increase to 16 kph (9.94 mph)
    • 13:00 UTC – Pace Increase to 17 kph (10.55 mph)
    • 13:30 UTC – Pace Increase to 18 kph (11.2 mph)
    • 14:00 UTC – Pace Increase to 22 kph (13.7 mph)
    • 14:30 UTC – Pace Increase to 26 kph (16.2 mph)
    • 15:00 UTC – Pace Increase to 30 kph (18.6 mph)
    • 15:30 UTC – Pace Increase to 34 kph (21.1 mph)

    Thanks in advance.

    Jürgen

  • Maybe you want to take a look at my datafield. It seems developer is not responding anymore here...

  •  Hi hundsmiachn

Thanks for the information, but due to searching in the Connect app store I already found your data field and installed it on my watch.

I've already tried your data field during my last run yesterday, and it looked quite good.

Do you use the Catcher car speed from last/this  year for your race prediction?

What do you need the "target distance/time" for which can be adjusted in the Garmin connect app?

Basically I'm afraid, the accuracy of the data fields won't be the real problem this year, because there  Garminis no real Catcher car and my forerunner 630 is much more accurate than my smartphone GPS, which started  much too late after starting my run on the wingforlife worldrun app...

  • Hi

Catcher car times are the actual ones! I tried some test runs and it should be quite accurate. Maybe you could let the datafield run tomorrow and see if the values are correct. The distance you have to enter is the distance you want to reach.
It shows you the ahead/behind time to reach your distance.
