New watch face help

Hello,

I'm creating my first watch face and it works okay on the Connect IQ simulator, i.e. I can change battery level and steps and I see the changes that should happen.
I am yet to add any configurable settings to it.
Before that, is there a way I can run it on my actual watch and see it working?

This is really a question for the developer forum. (one level up). There, also check the "new Developer FAQ" thread (there's stuff in there about testing), and also look in the programmer's guide for "side loads".

If you use Eclipse there is the App Settings Editor under the Connect IQ menu which you can send settings to your app in the emulator like you would with Garmin Connect on your phone.
