  • Hi,

Great watchface. Would it be possible to add burned calories beside the hr? Also it would be nice to have the next sun event at the seconds/utc field.

    Thank you

Thanks for feedback! I will check burned calories, maybe lower left or right field for that in user settings. Sun event is doable, but I need to check how to implement it and what is effect to performance/size.

EDIT: calories are implemented now and will be released in next release 1.65:

Same release will include "Always on" seconds, feature is available on fēnix 5/S/X and the Forerunner 935

    Hi,

Also it would be nice to have the next sun event at the seconds/utc field.

I researched a bit and there are about 15 different sun events: Astronomical Dawn, Nautic Dawn, Blue Hour AM, Civil Dawn, Sunrise, Golden Hour AM, Morning, Afternoon, Golden Hour PM, Sunset, Civil Dusk, Blue Hour PM, Nautic Dusk, Astromomical Dusk, Night.

There are already widgets that show above mentioned events e.g. :

    https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/87b86650-a443-43ea-9dcb-29e4051a5722

It seems that to calculate events you need to have position, with watch faces there are some restrictions to do that even it is possible. Then add some 300 lines of code to all 15 events and call it a day :)

Based on this, I am not going to implement all sun events to this watch face. Maybe only few, but then I need to know what is really needed. I guess sunrise and sunset could be something to start with?
  • For sunrise/set, you do need lat/lon, but in many case you get that from Activity.Info.currentLocation. It can go stale, so if you get the lat/lon, save it away in the Object Store for times you can't get it. There's a bit of a trick needed on the f5x, as to when you can get Activity.Info data, but the user only has to do it once unless they go to a very different location

How to adjust the watch face

I just bought an Approach S60 and installed this awesome watch face. But now I am trying to change the display (heart beat, week numbers, colours) but I cannot figure out how to. Can anybody help?

  • Hello! Love this but have one question. I keep my notifications set to ON only during an activity. And on the standard digital face of the FR935 I don't se any notification icon unless I'm in an activity. But on your watch face, even if the watch does not alert me when receiving notifications, I still see the icon and no. of missed notifications all the time, and I have to manually erase notifications using the watch's buttons to clear the icon. Is there a way to NOT show at all the notification icon - as per the watch's settings, or maybe to have them erased automatically after being read on the phone? I hate having to manually erase notifications...  Thanks and hope I have articulated properly my issue...
