Chrono Style Watchface

Hello,

this is my first contribution to this forum and my first watchface.

It's called chrono style watchface and you can find it in the store.

https://apps.garmin.com/de-DE/apps/66ee453a-cd28-4620-ac1d-e6e7e15689cc

If you want to support me: https://www.paypal.me/Dirk72

Features:

- Chrono style look
- Activity gauge: Steps, distance, daily goal, history steps, calories
- Altitude gauge: Hand displays 100m or feet, triangle displays 1000m or feet
- Battery gauge: Hand displays 10%, triangle displays 100%
- Sunset/Sunrise gauge: Displays the next 2 sun events, solar altitude, time until next sun Event
- Sensor history gauge: history field, hand displays recent value, triangles display min and max values in history, scale auto adjusts (Fenix 5 derivates only, HR works with F3HR and supported Forerunner devices)
- Moon phase gauge: moonage, days before and after fullmoon, arc also shows moon phase
- Small moon phase gauge
- Digital watch with 2. time
- 2 configurable digital fields with date, clock and heart rate (on supported devices)
- Activity level showing on margin or micro bar
- Notifications
- 2 hand styles
- Micro battery Icon
- Cycle through activity info while active
- Bluetooth Icon
- Blackout Edition
- a lot of possibilities to configure colours and functions of the watchface

I have several reasons why I post here:

1. A lot of people had good suggestions and helped me to get the watchface to its current state. Thank you for that. It's a lot easier to discuss suggestions here than via email or the connect iq store.

2. Since I "only" own a Fenix 3, I can't test every feature of my watchface myself and so I need a platform for people, who want to help and give feedback. Um well yes, I want you as beta testers

So here we are. I am awaiting your wishes, your feedback and your comments.

Cheers

Reply to your review reply ;-)

Very good and configurable, but Fenix 5 Elevation and Air pressure gauges display always smaller values than the corresponding widgets (e.g. 1021hPa instead of 1022 in the ABC Garmin widget, as well as 27m instead of 28m). Moreover this morning after 2 floor descent from 50m to 44m it displayed from 49 (expecrted as per the issue above) to -23 (?) moving the elevation gauge scale accordingly from -400 to 400. Also min and max values in the outer ring are barely noticeable. Also the ring dots are barely visible and they should be slightly bigger.

I confirm that when I read -23 the ABC widget value was 44 (just checked to be sure it was a watch face mistake.
Instead of adding +1 to elevation, could it be a rounding difference?
I mean, maybe the ABC widget acts like this: reads 27,4 and displays 27 or reads 27,5 and displays 28? Or you simply compy and paste an already integer value?

The battery sometimes becomes different from the app screen selection: I saw 82% on that and 81 in your watchface: it seems it is really a digit rounding problem.
    I hope it helps.

For your information, my watchface shows every 5th value of the sensor history. I am not sure, how often the watch saves a value. Let's assume, that it saves a value every minute. In that case the time difference between 2 values is 5 minutes.

I still look into it, at least I think I have a problem when displaying negative values since there is no space under the graph.

    Enjoy your vacations!

If it could be possible to have seconds hand always on on Fenix 5X (1 Hz mode) I think your watch face would become one of the best ever made.
    Cheers!

    Active

People are asking (after SDK 2.3.1 update) the "Always Active" (1hz) version of current watch-faces and it would be nice, but since one week I have slightly different problem: my watch-face is never active (no seconds hand and no "cycle activity & sensor info while active" though both options are enabled ... I have tried to uninstall the watch-face turn off-on the watch and reinstall it again, change some options, but with no result - the watch-face is never active (when I switch to some other watch-face everything works ok) ... I have no clue what could cause the watch-face not to be active ....
Have a good holidays and when you can pls check what could be the problem ... thank you in advance

btw, the watch is fenix 5s with software version 4.10

    Hi,

I updated to the latest sdk, hopefully this fixed the bug with the second hand. In the future I will try to implement the 1 Hz mode but I have to learn, how it's done, so be patient.

    Cheers
  • There's a bug in the current f5/5x/5s firmware when it comes to the gesture and dropping out of low power mode. That's likely why you don't see seconds. See this thread for a work-around involving the backlight gesture..

In fact, with the backlight setting for gesture set "on", it works fine.
Thanks, I hope garmin will fix this
