full day Watchface Support Thread

nobody
  • Hi here's a screenshot of the watch face as requested.

    my GPS is 37-54-10 S 145-2-24 E

    Hi wetroads,

thanks for sharing this. I can't reproduce the problem when I setup my watchface with your parameters (GPS coordinates and UTC+10).

    Could you
    1. get this zip file:
    2. Uninstall 'full day' watchface if still on your watchface,
    3. Unzip the file, copy the fullday.prg on your watch in GARMIN/APPS folder
    4. select 'full day' in the watchface settings
    5. send me a picture of the watchface (should display current UTC and GPS coordinates from you watch)
    6. delete fullday.prg after your took the picture

So that I can check internal parameters, please ?

    thanks for your help !

I have similar issue. It seems Sunrise/sunset are moved 1 hour forward. Double DST? Coordinates 50N 19E.

    Hi Yacol,
thanks for your feedback. Same as above, can you download a special debug version of the watchface and share the screenshot of the result please ?
So that I can investigate further...

    Thanks !

Apologies for the delay, somehow I unsubscribed from the thread. By the way this seems to be an issue with other watchfaces and not just this one. Simply Late has the same issue.

    Pic attached...

"Simply late" has the same issue because it's the same code as Full day. We are working together with Myneur : he uses my code from full day wathface :)

Thanks wetroads, I'll check that tonight !

Hi wetroads, it seems that you didn't do any activity with your watch involving the GPS of the watch.
As the watchface needs GPS coordinates, the only way we have is to use the last activity's GPS. So in order to have good sunrise/sunset, you have to start an activity at least once with GPS active.
    Does it sound right ?

    Thanks,

I've done that numerous times. as I mentioned in my op when I do ensure the GPS is right the watchface displays correct values in the watchface selection screen but after loading displays incorrect values, but it only does this for the first load, then it is incorrect always afterwards. Other watchfaces I use are not having this issue.

. I have added some pics using Simply Late to demonstrate.

And the author of My Watch says

'Some users reported issue with Fenix5x. I don't have this device but it seems that there are bugs relative to obtaining GPS positions in watchface. We have to wait the Garmin fixes.'

So it may be a Garmin issue.

    Grey

    Hi again,

could you please change sunrise colour to grey in Grey scheme? Now everything is white and grey (monochromatic) but sunrise is yellow and it looks strange ;-)
  • Forerunner 630 not compatible?

The Forerunner 230 is compatible, why isn't the 630? I thought they have the same IQ version
  • Few suggestions

This is a great watchface, thank you very much! I would still have a few wishes / suggestions for future versions:

    - option to show battery status as % or icon
    - option to turn bluetooth status off
    - option to change background color to white (black background looks really good, but in my opinion watchfaces with white background are more easily readable)
    - option to change the numbers bigger, at least with Fenix5S hour and week numbers are really small.
