HRV
Get the app.

Graphing.
The design currently only saves to 1 location per day. The timestamp is taken when the test starts, so autostart will take the timestamp at the scheduled time. This means that any saved test will overwrite any previous test of that same day. A day is calculated from the local timezone, so travelling won't disrupt the storage so long as you have updated the timezone before starting the test. The averages are a 30 day mean average.

Description & Explanation
Wouldn't that be nice. Will happen, but might take a while.

Notes
- Your device must have firmware that supports Connect IQ Apps.
- You can save the results by creating a log file. To do this you must work out which name has been applied to the HRV app file. The apps are in the /GARMIN/APPS folder. It will be a name something like A6227C9B.PRG. You then create a log file with the same name, e.g /GARMIN/APPS/LOGS/A6227C9B.TXT. Each reading you save will output a result formatted as ISO8601 date & time, hrv, avg pulse, 30 day hrv avg, 30 day pulse avg.

The app still gets a very reliable result despite missing those readings. I have taken into account bad connections, and added handling so they do not effect the result.

During development I spent a lot of time using different straps. One thing I did notice is that it was a lot harder than normal to get a good contact when sitting or lying down. Even standing still seemed to be worse than moving. Just mentioning this because your strap may be fine. Especially if you get good data when using it to exercise. So you might want to try adjusting how you sit, etc....
  • Thank you for you reply, I have recently had heart rate spikes in the windy conditions and strap is 1 year old already.
I was very dissapointed to have heart rate over 220 when not spinning, just goind down the hill on a flat road.
Then when I would start spinning up the hill heart rate would drop impossibly fast.
I have also tried s health on galaxy s5 and it gives different result than garmin stress score.
Also tried heart rate graphing app on adroid and it some times shows error heart rate is too low with ant+ and a same strap.

I can't believe that it is accurate if it's missing 50 % of my heart rate beats.

At least this app showed how many beats are missing and I am more confident that there is a strap issue.

The reason I am claiming it is still essentially accurate is that the readings it does take are clean. Would you say a 1 min test with zero dropouts is accurate? Then what about 2 x 30 second tests taken 1 minute apart? How many samples exactly would it require for you to think you have an accurate reading? Once you figure that number out you can just leave the test running until you reach your required standard.

Maybe you are right but I don't understand what this number means aniway.
All I see is how many readings are lost and that garmin stress score always show bad result while s health shows good result.

I will get new strap in a week and will see how it goes..

  • Update for Garmin 735XT?

Trying to download this app from ConnectIQ for Garmin735XT. Can this be added to the list of compatible devices so that ConnectIQ will allow the download of HRB app to the device?
