HRV
Get the app.

Graphing.
The design currently only saves to 1 location per day. The timestamp is taken when the test starts, so autostart will take the timestamp at the scheduled time. This means that any saved test will overwrite any previous test of that same day. A day is calculated from the local timezone, so travelling won't disrupt the storage so long as you have updated the timezone before starting the test. The averages are a 30 day mean average.

Description & Explanation
Wouldn't that be nice. Will happen, but might take a while.
This page could be useful.

Notes
- Your device must have firmware that supports Connect IQ Apps.
- You can save the results by creating a log file. To do this you must work out which name has been applied to the HRV app file. The apps are in the /GARMIN/APPS folder. It will be a name something like A6227C9B.PRG. You then create a log file with the same name, e.g /GARMIN/APPS/LOGS/A6227C9B.TXT. Each reading you save will output a result formatted as ISO8601 date & time, hrv, avg pulse, 30 day hrv avg, 30 day pulse avg.

Hi, thank for your work. I used your app with an optical heart rate. Do u think those number can be good. Some places write that variability from optical are not good. You have any experience about if it can work or not. Thank
I can't say. I haven't researched optical HRM to that extent. I would imagine that they will be ok, especially because HRV will typically be taken when not moving, so I would think the readings should be stable. Just this morning I was having trouble with a standard soft strap, and had to switch to a hard strap to get a good reading, I would actually think you are less likely to have a similar problem with an optical strap.
  • Will this be compatible with the new versions of forerunner 230 and 630?
  • Thanks for this great app sharkbait_au

I started using it last monday and up to now it works fine with the default setting (1 minute test with defaults breathing pace). For those asking about HRV values, my numbers are between 75 and 89
  • How accurate is the measurements of this app? An app on my phone gives about 20 higher HRV result.
  • I've been using the HRV-App for a few months now and I use it every morning. I am very happy with it!

With the update of the fenix firmware to v5 the app is not working perfectly anymore: When I want to go to the page which is showing the graph than there Comes the IQ-logo with an exclamation point. No graph anymore.

Do you have the same problem?

no graph page with SDK 1.2.1

    Cool app, thanks!
Unfortunately, with Connect IQ SDK 1.2.1 (which has just been released along with the FW 5.00 for Fenix 3) I always get the IQ logo with the exclamation mark, but on the graph page only. When the logo shows, switching pages is not possible anymore, but I can leave the app with "back/lap" and start it again instantly.

Hah - Mikuonen was faster some seconds

Same problem here. No possibility to show the graph page. I get an IQ Logo with the exclamation mark. Need to fix the app with this new version of Connect IQ SDK ? I have a 920XT.

Ok, now I see what you mean. I wasn't using the version off the app store. I was using my development version, built with the same source code. I can not explain what has happened.

Since it appears to currently be in a broken state I've rushed through an update. Fingers crossed I haven't missed any major flaws.
