Widget: Goal Widget

This is a simple widget that combines steps, floors, and intensity minutes into one widget screen. Currently it is just the main statistics screen but there are plans to implement the daily statistics in the future as well.

  • Do the colored arcs indicate completion status? (If so I would expect that a 13/15 would be nearly a complete circle).
  • The arcs run in two directions starting at the 6 hour mark on the watch. Running clockwise from the 6 hour to the 3 hour mark is steps (outside) and floors (inside) and both the in-progress and completed colors can be adjusted in the settings. From the 6 hour to 3 hour mark going counter clockwise is intensity minutes for the week and can also have its colors configured. The empty space in the future might add calories for the day or something else. In the settings a guide bar can be added for each element but I don't particularly like it. Since it is to replace the 3 native Garmin widgets you would need to have the plan is to add the charts as sub-pages that the Garmin widgets have but I haven't gotten to that yet.

    Fenix 3

Could you make it work with the Fenix 3 HR? Thanks!!
  • Intensity Minutes and week convention...

this may be unrelated to your widget, but i would have though that the week's tally of activity minutes would be based on the user selected start of the week. for e.g., since i set my week to begin on Sunday, i would think that it should reset itself on Sunday, 12am, rather than Monday, 12am, as it appears to do.

does your widget consult this setting or are you pulling the data from some preset field ConnectIQ provides?

I checked and I don't see that we can determine that through Connect IQ. I'll double check that we can't and if not that may not be a bad feature to have.

This was one of my favorite widgets on my Fenix 5. I replaced all of the individual steps, floors, and intensity minutes widgets with it. I would love to see this widget support eh Vivoactive 3.

Downloading the Connect IQ SDK and working through the samples and documentation is the best way to get started. Currently the information you're looking for isn't available through the SDK so I'm not sure you can get what you want at this time.
  • Hi,

I loved your widget on my fenix 5s! I've now upgraded to a 6s, and find it's not compatible. Would it be possible to add fenix 6 series compatibility?

    Thanks!
