I'm the developer. AirDust is a Connect IQ widget that shows live air quality (PM2.5, PM10, AQI) from nearby Sensor.Community citizen sensors. The free tier needs no account. Pro is an optional one-time EUR 5 unlock (no subscription) that adds pollen, UV, history, alerts and, new in 5.6.135, lightning.
New in 5.6.135 (Pro):
• Lightning card: when a recent strike is found near you it shows distance, compass direction and strike age, marked as approximate. When a storm's movement is known it adds speed and Approaching / Moving away / Passing. If there is nothing recent there is no card, on purpose: the widget never shows an "all clear".
• Menu, then Check lightning: runs a check on demand (one per 5 minutes).
• Lightning Alerts (off by default) with a range of 5 to 50 km. They are evaluated while the widget is open, not in the background.
• Sun & UV screen rewritten: UV advice, and the current UV with its source and age. On solar watches it also shows the live solar charging signal; it does not measure sun exposure.
• Pollen and UV alerts no longer fire on old readings.
• The Air card names a thunderstorm when a fresh weather report says so.
• Stability and memory fixes.
Limits, plainly: strike data is minutes old, distances are approximate, and this is a convenience check, not an official warning. Follow local severe-weather guidance. The Pro carousel screens are not on every model; some smaller devices show simplified screens.
