I’m looking for a small number of Garmin users to help beta test HUD Foundry, a new way to configure and display Garmin activity data on ENGO 2 smart glasses.
HUD Foundry consists of an Android companion app and a Garmin Connect IQ data field. The Android app lets you create customized pages of activity metrics and send the layout through your Garmin device to the glasses.
The basic Android → Garmin → ENGO workflow is working, and the Garmin data field is now available through the Connect IQ Store. I’m looking for people who can test the complete installation and setup process during actual runs or rides.
To participate, you’ll need:
-
ENGO 2 or another compatible ActiveLook-powered display
-
A compatible Garmin Connect IQ watch or Edge device
-
An Android phone with Garmin Connect Mobile
-
A willingness to use it during real activities and report what works—or what doesn’t
Development and initial testing have been done with a Forerunner 965 and ENGO 2. Both runners and cyclists are welcome. You do not need to be a developer.
This is a small private beta. The Android app is distributed by invitation, while the Garmin data field is installed normally through Connect IQ—no Garmin sideloading is required.
If you’re interested, reply here or send me a private message with:
-
Your Garmin model
-
Your Android phone
-
Your smart-glasses model
-
Whether you primarily run, cycle, or both
Thanks!
