My Day 24 is back: the 2017 original, rewritten from scratch

Some of you may remember My Day 24: I first posted it here in 2017, and it was a Developer Award nominee that year. Then the new device generations arrived, and the old code slowly aged out of them. This year I finally sat down and rewrote the whole thing from scratch.

The idea has not changed: your whole day around one 24-hour dial. What people actually used the original for, from years of reviews and emails:

  • Photographers use the sun ring to see the dawn, the dusk and the golden hour at a glance.
  • Sleep tracking: the sleep ring shows your pattern and quality night after night, and because the sun ring sits right next to it, you can compare your rhythm with the sun's rhythm.
  • The heart-rate ring shows the day: you see that you did a workout in the morning and that the afternoon was really rest.
  • And the simplest one: how much sunlight is left today, visually, without opening anything.

What the rewrite brings: always-on display (burn-in safe), native complications (press and hold a field to open its app), settings directly on the watch, sunrise/sunset from Garmin weather so there is no GPS wait, 11 languages, and no more unlock codes. It runs on every color-display watch with Connect IQ System 7 or newer.

Store: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/e0a4d1c2-d311-4319-93d7-6f77f9cce380 The original stays available for the older watches (details at myday24.com/legacy/).

This thread is the support channel: feature requests and bug reports welcome, the same way the old thread shaped the original. And since the new listing starts at zero: if the face works for you, a store rating genuinely helps it get found again.
