  • Great idea, I'll prepare something like that for 2.0 release. In the beginning I was trying to make this watchface as intuitive as the screen size allow. But during time it evolved to much more complex watchface than I expected, so you are right - graphical explanation is necessary now. thanks

Release 2.x will be based on IQ Connect 1.1.4 or....?

No, v2.0 uses features from CIQ 1.2. But it is backward compatible with 1.1.x (of course without that features).
  • The Connect IQ 1.2 is already available as beta version, so developers now has some period of time to improve theirs apps for the final release. There are already beta firmwares for devices supporting CIQ 1.2 and I can bet that final release is around the corner.

Can I register somewhere (blog, forum thread, etc.) to get notified by the release?
I am awaiting this for quite 4 weeks now and I am a bit nervous to miss it...

Thoughts on improvements (is so great so really just 'tweaks')

Love my ActiFace Blue - thanks for all the great work. Only issue I have is understanding / determining what everything on the screens represents.

Believe access to an image with arrows pointing to the watch face describing what each data point represents - and how to use that info to ones benefit -(noticed my fenix 3 data point looks different than image on product page) would be very helpful.

Also would recommend simplifying (example badges) so there is a connection between what we are seeing:

badges - "D" - doubled goal, "arrow up" - week maximum reached, "4" - you reached the goal 4 times in past 5 days (including today), "7" - you reached the goal 7 times in past 8 days

I struggle with trying to remember the difference between D, Arrow Up, 4, 5 and 7 mean - Would love to see some type of better correlation between each of these. 7 times in past 8 days vs 4 times in past 4 days... Why? Why not % of goal over a set time period or something similar? If badges were certain letters alone, certain numbers alone or certain symbols alone, would be much easier to understand.

keep up the great work! Love it!

    Activty history graph not updating

    Hi,

first, the activity tracking must be enabled (Settings/Activity tracking), but I suppose you have it enabled.

I registered few cases when activity tracker has stuck, but ActiFace cannot do anything with it, it only reads history records. There're 2 points which can help. 1. reset of the activity tracker Menu>History>Options>Reset totals.. or 2. watches factory reset.

    P.

Thanks for the reply Petr. I tried your suggestions above but the activity history graph still does not update. Is it possible that there is a bug or, something I'm still not doing correctly? I've noticed a few other users making the same observation/comments in their reviews of this watch face. Thanks.
  • I think it's definitely a bug, but I'm affraid that it's in the firmware. ActiFace doesn't have any history database or its own storage. It just reads the history from your watch each 5 minutes. If you cannot see any changes in the graph, that means the activity tracking is stuck. You can check it in your steps history for past 7 days (Menu>History>Steps and open some entry). I assume they are not changing as well.

What is the 2 with the cloud icon in the top bar? A new feature of CIQ 1.2 that shows the number of outstanding notifications perhaps? :)

Exactly.. it's number of unread notifications (messages, calls, mails, etc.) on the phone..
