  • Love this watch face! :-)
    Great work!

Had a problem today (though it may or may not be a watchface problem):
I completed a bike ride and saved the activity.

A few minutes later, I noticed that the F3 was rebooting. After rebooting, it showed 1.3 miles for the day but the bike ride was 12 miles.

I found the ride in the history, so it was successfully saved.

Tried rebooting the watch again, but the total distance on the Actiface Red still excluded the cycling activity.

So, it appears that an error occurred -- perhaps with the Actiface Red watch face? -- and it isn't getting the cumulative miles value from the F3 now.

    Hi, thank you..

ActiFace shows only data provided by the watches. It doesn't read the history of each activity, but it receives whole activity tracker statistics. Watchfaces can't access individual activities, only daily agreggations. So it seems that in your case occured some strange internal error..
  • Thanks for the clarification.

Thought that might be the case, but wanted to find out for certain.

This is the only time the F3 has rebooted itself on me. Hopefully, the next FW release will fix the bug(s) that caused it. (Though, in any event, this one seems extremely rare since I've been using the watch for a couple of months now.)
  • Thanks for the watch face. Very nice design on the Fenix 3. May I make a quick suggestion for a future version?

With the daily activity tracker on the bottom of the screen. Would it be possible to get the progress bar or step counter to change colour when the daily target is met? As the target changes it would be nice to see the info on the watch face without having to flip through the screens.

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi, thanks!

Good appointment, I'll make the progress bar green when it reached 100%. The similar behavior has the square-screen version. I'm not sure if there is enough space to show the current goal-target (as a small number near step counter). A lot of people will be complaining that it is not readable. The screen size and its usability is limited and sometimes is not so easy to find a good compromise.

    Great watch face, thank you!

Don't know if anyone else cares about this but about the only other data point I enjoy having in addition to what you've got is the sunrise/sunset. I know the Fenix 3 screen is already pretty packed but would be awesome if somehow that could be added. Thanks again, great work!

To your question.. sunrise and sunset data are not available for watchfaces, as well as location data. So even if I'd like to compute them, I can't do that without actual location. In other words, watchfaces currently don't know where you are on the Earth :)

Hi Thanks for the reply! Glad you liked the suggestion. Just the progress bar to green is perfect. the watch face has just the right amount of data displayed as it is. No need to put the daily goal-target, as I agree, it would too difficult to see!

    Thanks
  • Morning Koulik, awesome watch face, really a nice plus to my 920XT...however since the graph has been changed in version 1.7 I'm experiencing some different behavior I cannot understand if it is intended or no. Originally, the graph recorded calories and km every day: let's say today I rest and decide to not train, I still get during the day some km due to steps, and of course calories, and I liked this, so that looking at the graph I can have a glance of my workout and rest days. However, since revision 1.7 it seems that when I do not have an activity recorded for that day, the following day (at midnight) everything is reset, so that the graph now only shows the days I trained + the present day. Is this an intended feature? I also tried to uninstall/reinstall the watch face, but the result is unchanged... is there any way I can restore the original behavior?

    Great work btw, really usefull.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. It's not intended behavior. The behavior of ActiFace is still the same from the first version and nothing about this has changed in 1.7. The issue you are describing is related to the stuck activity tracker. You can check it in Menu > History > Steps if you can see correct or incorrect statistics for each day. I've never met this myself, but noticed several cases from ActiFace users. What I remember that only hard reset helped. But you can try to reset only activity tracker itself.
  • Thanks a lot for your reply!!! I'll try both procedures and provide you a feedback about it :)
Indeed I have been looking to the steps activity log and as you said the missing days are also missing in there.
Just a last question, can you provide me with the procedures to both hard reset the device and to only reset the activity tracker? Cause looking at the manual I had some doubt on the right procedure to follow (I assume that the one requiring to simply power down the device is not enought, right?)

    Thanks again
