Looking for feedback on my Connect IQ hockey app, RinkPulse

Hi everyone,

I recently published my Garmin app, RinkPulse, and I’m hoping to get some feedback from the Connect IQ community.

It’s a hockey tracking app for Garmin watches built for skaters and goalies. It tracks shifts, bench-to-ice transitions, heart rate, calories, speed, distance, scorekeeping, and goalie stats, then shows a post-game summary. Since indoor GPS is unreliable, I’m using motion-based estimates for some rink data.

I’m mainly looking for feedback on:

On-ice / on-bench detection logic

Handling stats Garmin does not natively store

Watch UI and usability

Overall technical approach and app performance

I recently updated the on-ice detection to require a higher threshold before switching to on-bench. I also plan to add a companion app later so non-Garmin stats and advanced metrics can be saved instead of being lost after the activity.

Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

Small update: I put together a basic RinkPulse page with the current feature list, support info, and privacy policy:

The watch app is still the main experience: automatic shift detection, ice/bench time, work/rest, HR zones, and goalie stats. Android companion support is local-first for session history and review.
