  • As you can imagine .. I have had no inquiries about the D2 models as this is not really something they would likely be into. I did have an inquiry today re the Quatix 5 .. and I helped him on that one. The one thing .. in the store it only says Fenix 5 under the compatible devices (the Quatix 5 is not listed there). But it is all good. I am sure they know that they are the same, or maybe not. ;)

    Thanks Jim ..
  • Thanks for adding the FR935 :)
  • Great Application works perfect on my Fenix 3HR would love some sort of logging of the app, so you can see if you are getting "fitter". Is this similar to HRV testing? that seems to be a huge topic for your recovery. Maybe this could be used like that? I have used the stress score from Garmin - but dont want to strap on my HRM everytime I want to test my HRV

Sent you $5.00 USD for your efforts. Love it

You do have logging capabilities, it is described in the 2nd post in this thread. You need to create a text file in the Garmin \ Apps \ Logs folder on your device and name it the same as your Drop Fenix application. Then .. when you hit the 120 second mark it will write your data to that file. This is not HRV testing .. but heart rate recovery. To put it simply .. the more your heart rate drops after exertion the fitter your heart it. It is not a substitute for medical advice .. but you can track your fitness over time. Btw .. thank you for the Paypal contribution, it all helps .. but really this is all about my love for fitness. If you have any more questions .. feel free to post them.

The post above is a bit old .. but it should be pretty accurate. I cannot edit it due to the lovely Garmin forum, but if you have issues let me know.

Hello! Enjoying the App but need a how to set up logging and how to "create a text file" for total dopes post. Seems like some of the second post is missing? Also what do I use for the text file? a simple text editor? Saved in what format? I need a complete walkthrough. Thank you!

Connect your device to your computer and note the name of the Drop Fenix application. You should look for the word DROP etc to determine if you have the right file.

So assume the name is 78EK7656.PRG .. you would then go to the Garmin / Apps / Logs folder and create a text file (Notepad is fine) and name it 78EK7656.TXT and that is it.
Do not edit the PRG file or the app will need to be reinstalled. As long as the name of the PRG and the TXT file are the same, the app will write data there when you exit the application.
Your name of your PRG will be different than above .. but the procedure will be the same. Btw, if there is an upgrade you will need to redo this procedure. However, I do not expect there to be any upgrades anytime soon.
