I'm excited to share an app I've been working on: WristTale — a novel reader that lets you read books directly on your Garmin
watch.
September 2026 update — v1.1.7
WristTale is still being actively updated. The current Connect IQ release is v1.1.7 (September 18, 2026). Since the original post:
- Jump straight to a chapter from the watch reader, and choose a chapter range when transferring a large book.
- Read on supported Edge devices, including landscape mode with left or right rotation.
- Enjoy cleaner whole-word wrapping and more reliable reading-position and chapter-end progress tracking.
- Sync start works more reliably on devices with older firmware; v1.1.7 also adds FR170(M) support.
