Hey all, I want to share a watch face that I have put some work into: Apollo VIII. It is a homage to the Omega Speedmaster Dark side of the Moon and Grey Side of the Moon which I think are maybe the coolest watches ever made. I have added a lot of what I think is unique functionality like dynamic shadows and dynamic shading on the hands that changes lightness based on location to simulate illumination. I have also incorporated a fully functional chronograph mode that does not use significant battery. It also has a moon phase mode activated by long pressing the logo that puts a realistic shadow on the background to simulate the moon and a toggleable animation for the gears that you can see behind the dial on the real skeleton style watch. I have 4 themes (red, blue, yellow, and grey) and a few different data options for the sub-dials, plus a low power mode that shows the sub-dials.

Right now it is available for most AMOLED watches for free with no paywalls, but I am offering to give a hint to a hidden logo based Easter egg for a tip. Or you can just find it yourself. I know this is not exactly a minimalist battery sipper, but so far it has not been too bad on my battery life, plus when your watch lasts 16 days what is a day or 2 less?

Side rant: I wish Garmin didn't so blatantly prioritize the paid apps in Connect IQ. Who knows if this will ever show up on the "Trending" or "Analog" Categories since it is free, even though it already has more downloads in a few weeks than many of the paid faces that have been up much longer...
