HR Sleep Lite .. just the basics. No settings to set .. just go and sleep.
Like HR Sleep .. just simpler for those that want it easy.

Measure your SLEEP with your HR data.
Simple ... see your Current HR (or Time), Minimum HR, Maximum HR and Average HR value in the night.
As well .. see when your minimum and maximum HR values occurred.

*** Full Change Log ***

[Version 1.35] June 7 / 2017

- Fixed a bug where the app would crash with the new Vivoactvive HR firmware. It was my fault and I do apologize.

[Version 1.34] March 6 / 2017

- Removed all FIT file support.

[Version 1.33] March 1 / 2017

- Added the ability to record HR data to FIT file in Garmin Connect. The default is OFF, and you will need to enable it in Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express if desired.

[Version 1.29] February 2 / 2017

- Added Vibration count (4 to 20) for use with the "Vibrate At Set HR" value. If set .. it will vibrate on alternating seconds .. until the count has expired. So it the vibration count is set to 20 .. it will vibrate 20x.

It is not something for most users.

[Version 1.26] January 31 / 2017

- Added vibration when your HR gets below a set HR value in Garmin Connect Mobile / Garmin Express. It is defaulted at 0 or no vibrate. If set .. it will vibrate when your HR hits that set HR value. It will only vibrate once .. the first time you hit that value, otherwise it would continuously vibrate, not the desired effect.

- Fixed issue where minimum HR could be set to zero.
[Version 1.23] January 17 / 2017

- improved sensor handling upon exit.

[Version 1.22] December 21 / 2016

- Allow via user setting in Garmin Connect Mobile / Garmin Express to display only minimum HR value and hide maximum HR value from screen. The maximum HR value will still be in the summary screen and data logging.

[Initial Version] December 19 / 2016

- See your Current HR (or Time), Minimum HR, Maximum HR and Average HR values. No HR settings to set and no Sleep Zones. Just simple.

- Time available via Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express via user setting. Default is Time Display Off.

- See the times when your minimum and maximum HR values occurred.

- Summary screen data is orange to avoid confusion with main screen.

- Data logging available .. Date, Minimum HR value and time of Min HR occurrence, Maximum HR value and time of Max HR occurrence and Average HR values.

To do data logging with HR Sleep Lite you need to do the following .. - Connect your Vivoactive HR to your computer via your USB charging cable. Sorry, it must be a computer, smartphones will not work.
    - Navigate to the Garmin\Apps\Logs folder
    - Create a text file named the same as your HR Sleep Lite program file. See details below.
    - Exit .. and enjoy.

    - Your data will now be logged upon exiting HR Sleep Lite to that file.

Note .. the data is in the following format (CSV format):
Date, Minimum HR Value, Time of Minimum HR value (h:mm:ss), Maximum HR value, Time of Maximum HR value (h:mm:ss), Average HR value.

    2016/12/19,37,5:05:17,55,7:05:14,46

You can use a program like Excel (or any of your choosing) to analyze or manipulate your data should you desire.

Note .. DO NOT delete that file, as the Vivoactive will not recreate it, but will skip the data logging if it is not there. You should not have to recreate it if the HR Sleep Lite version changes as the program name should remain the same.

Re the HR Sleep Lite application file .. when you connect to your Vivoactive HR, it may look like this. The photo below is the Garmin\Apps folder. Note the NAME of the HR Sleep Lite prg file as you will need this for your data logging.

You need to name the text file the same as the PRG file for HR Sleep Lite. The best way to tell which one it is, probably by the date / time of your HR Sleep Lite install.

So for the above .. you would need to name your data logging text file as 6CFK0636.txt
This text file goes into the GARMIN\APPS\LOGS folder

If you want to be really sure you have the right app file .. you can open the application (.prg) file in Notepad and search for "HRSleepLiteView" .. as below. If you find it .. you have the right file.
Do not edit the file as you will need to install it again if you do.

Sorry .. there is no way around this. The steps we need to go through for our data. :)
    Enjoy

    [Version 1.22] December 21 / 2016

Due to issues with false high HR readings (particularly when starting the application) .. I added the option to remove display of the maximum HR values from the screen today.
It does not always happen .. but when it does it totally messes up the integrity of the data.

I contemplated just skipping the first 5 minutes in regards to the max HR value until the Vivoactive HR settled down .. but if you have thoughts let me know.

Read thread item 2 on this page. It does not upload any data to Garmin Connect if that is what you are looking for.

Removed FIT file support from HR Sleep Lite, the likelihood of getting any FIT file support in the future is small at this time.
  • Plese make new guide how to create/read log file.
    These files aways are empty.community.garmin.com/.../1393185.jpg

Plese make new guide how to create/read log file.
    These files aways are empty.

The only reason that it will not work .. the name of the prg file does not match the name of the text file that is on your VivoactiveHR.
You can see how to do it .. on the 2nd post in this thread.

So if your prg is named 125LK78.PRG you need to name your text file 125LK78.TXT, make sure that the text file is in the LOG folder.

Btw .. in your photo, the only thing that looks at all right is the top file as far as a text file goes.
