Hi everybody, I am rocking my FR265 for a year or so now but I am not a big fan of super technical watch faces, especially in settings where the watch geometry already stands out.
So I decided to make my own with the goal to do something different, less technical, less crowded and instead lean into conceptual graphics and motion.
I called the resulting face Orbital 01 (more to come).
The idea is to simply show hours, minutes and seconds handle as rotating dots, that in certain moments overlap and mimic an eclipse. To keep the display fun, goal progress' are visualised through arcs which animate on every wake. Additionally, to keep the display clean but functional icons animate and show and hide on wake as well.
Personally, these subtle animations give me a lot of joy to look at my watch now. Sometimes, I just turn it on and off to see the animation :D
It's available in the store for a low price. I'd love to know what you all think of this approach.
