Ruuvi Heat Index Data Field

Temperature alone doesn't tell the whole story. A 30°C/86°F day can feel like 40°C/104°F if the humidity is high, pushing your body into the danger zone without warning. This data field reveals that invisible risk. By connecting to your RuuviTag sensor (separately purchased), it provides an accurate, local Heat Index reading that accounts for humidity's effect on your body. Knowing if you are in the "Caution" vs. "Danger" zone helps you decide whether to push for a PR or switch to an easy recovery run.

Heat Index measures how difficult it is for your sweat to evaporate. Higher index = less cooling = higher heart rate. Internal Garmin temperature sensors often read incorrectly because they sit against your warm wrist, or in the case of cycle computers, are exposed to the sun - an external RuuviTag can remedy these conditions.
