Watch face inspired by watch face Garmin Active Digital.
Link to ConnectIQ store.

Frequently asked questions:
- How do I get sunrise/sunset to work. It only shows "00:00"
Go outside and start an activity that uses GPS. Wait for a GPS lock and then you can stop the activity. You don't even have to save it. Watch faces are not allowed to use GPS. So it can only query the last location offered by the device. If none is available ( for whatever reason, e.g. system-update, restart etc.) the watch face will show "00:00". Please remember that the watch face will always use your last tracked position. So if you travel and want to have adapted sunrise/sunset times, start a GPS-tracked activity!

Features:
- All colors configurable!
- 2 fields at the top. Select from sunrise/sunset at last recorded location, min/max heartrate of last 4 hours, min/max elevation of last 4 hours
- 3 fields at the bottom. Select from steps, last/min/max heartrate, distance (km or miles), calories, floors climbed, daily/weekly intensity minutes, last/min/max elevation (meters or feet), sunrise/sunset at last recorded location
- Date
- Indicators for alarms, notifications, Bluetooth and battery status
- Optional display of seconds, when not in low power mode
- Optional 2nd timezone
- Optional progress bar. Select from steps, calories, floors climbed, daily/weekly intensity minutes

About the progress bar:
The progress bar gives you an indication, how well you are doing in reaching your target (configurable). The three arrows you see are your current value (e.g. steps), your moving target and your daily/weekly target.
The moving target is calculated based on your configured daily target, your waking/sleeping time (also your weight, height and gender as defined in your user profile for calories target).
As long as your current value is below your moving target, the arrows will be red (left arrow: current value, middle arrow: moving target, right arrow: daily/weekly target).
If your current value is above your moving target, the arrows will switch to green (left arrow: moving target, middle arrow: current value, right arrow: daily/weekly target)
If your current value is even above your daily/weekly target, the whole bar will be become green (left arrow: moving target, middle arrow: daily/weekly target, right arrow: current value).

Unless something has recently changed, any CIQ watchface can only show the 'seconds' for a limited number of seconds (not sure what the number is for the Vivoactive). This is a battery saving design. The built in watch faces use a separate, dedicated chip to handle/display the time which is very low power. CIQ watch faces use the main processor so they consume more power. disclaimer - I not have a Vivoactive (F3).
  • With all CIQ watchfaces, most of the time, they only update every minute. Based on a wrist gesture/turn, they'll switch to 1 second updates for about 10 seconds, and this is where many will display seconds (it's the same on all watches with CIQ). Some native watchfaces will show seconds, and a CIQ watch-app can be done that always updates every second, but it will use the battery faster.

I'm a RN and I keep finding all these faces with optional seconds display, but I can't get them to constantly display - or on this face, display at all. Where are they supposed to be on the vivoactive hr?

You won't find any watch face showing seconds constantly. That's due to restrictions for watch faces. They only update once a minute when in "passive" mode. When you lift your device, it switches to "active" mode for 20 seconds. During that mode it update once a second, and then this watchface shows the seconds (if configured). Switching to active mode is not 100% reliable. The device does not always properly detect the movement.

    Top values

    Hello...

Would it be possible to allow the Last Heartrate value to be available for display in the top values. I only see Min heartrate of last 4 hours and Max heartrate of last 4 hours as possibilities for displaying heartrate in the top values. I would like to have Last Heartrate and Max Heartrate in the top left and top right to allow for steps, floors climbed, and calories as the 3 values across the bottom. I like to track steps, floors climbed, calories, and heartrate if possible.

It would also be great to see a colon displayed between the hours and minutes.
  • Won't run after SW update

Has anyone else found that the watch face won't run after the most recent Garmin SW update? MY watch updated this morning (to v3.90) and now my favourite watch face won't run - it goes back to the default garmin watch face if I select it???

No other face comes close to this one....

Thanks! Happy to hear my Watchface is your favorite. I had the same experience like you. In the morning I had my first look to my watch and was surprised to find the default Watchface. As you already suggested, this is related to the new firmware. It revealed an old bug that did not have any consequences in previous firmware versions and therefore remained undetected.

I already corrected the bug yesterday and uploaded a new version. So if your Watchface hasn't updated automatically yet, I propose to reinstall the Watchface to get the latest version.

With this new version I also implemented the often requested feature to display battery status as percentage instead of symbol - you can configure your preferred option in the Watchface settings.

So I have been reading developer tutorials and trying out stuff because I wasn't quite happy with any of the watch faces. Then, I found this one. It is exactly what I had in mind. You saved me countless hours. Thank you very much. Really, it is exactly what I was looking for. Great.
