  • Thank you for the feedback. It looks like you're on the earlier 4.0.0 or 4.0.1 version. It's fixed in the latest version but wait for a day as I am pushing one more fix up later tonight. I'm sorry I broke things in my refactor but I'm setting it up to add even more requested options. I appreciate everyone's patience.

  • i saw all the minor updates, thanks for your quick reply/fix to this major change at your side

  • Is this watchface open source by chance? I like it a lot, but refuse to upgrade my Fenix 7 Pro to the latest firmware due to all the reported downsides, so I can't install any CIQ apps from the store :/

  • Sorry, not open source right now. I might be able to build you a local version to sideload onto your watch; however, you'd lose the ability to change settings.

If you're willing to wait, I'm in the process of moving the settings to the watch face itself so you can change them on-device without need for the app. I'll let you know when that's done and perhaps you can be the first to help me test it. :-)

  • Oh, that would be great! I'd be more than happy to hold out and help beta test that version! Thank you, just let me know when.

  • I have an issue with version 4.0.8 on my Fenix 8 Solar 51mm. Long pressing on the weather symbol causes IQ-error.

Could you probably implement that a long press on the date opens the calendar?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Thanks for the feedback! In the next day or so you should see version 4.0.9 which should resolve the issue with the long press. Let me know if it works for you.

  • I forgot to mention about the calendar. Please make sure that the calendar complication is active in your list (use the + to add it). If it's not already in your list then it won't load. Cheers!

  • Weather is now working again. Thank you!

The calendar app is still not opening when long pressing the current date. I feel the short vibration, but nothing opens. Am I missing something? What exactly do you mean by "make sure that the calendar complication is active in your list"?

  • So, after some additional testing, I'm thinking it's a Garmin bug but one way to get around it is to do the following:

When you're on the watch face and you either press up/down buttons or swipe up or down you'll see a list of glances. These are things like weather, last activity, abc, etc.

If you don't have calendar in that list then the calendar won't load when you long press. If you add it then it loads just fine. Oddly enough, if you then remove it then the long press still works UNTIL you restart your watch. So, I'd just keep it active in your list to be safe.

To add it press the pencil icon, go to the bottom of the next screen and choose add, and finally add CALENDAR. If it doesn't work after that then please let me know.
