Feel free to contact me for any suggestions, feedback or questions regarding these watchfaces!
  • Hi!

Yes, the free version has only limited configuration capabilities, you can change the watchface and hands design and some parameters (UTC offset, etc.)
The full set of configuration options (all data fields, all colors) is only working in the unlocked version.

The settings are already in the settings menu (I can't change that) but they are not working when the proper unlock code is not entered...
    Details here: http://www.techyodel.com/garmin-connectiq/connectiq-unlock/
  • Ok,I unlocked it but I'm not seeing any times for sunrise/sunset. What do they sync too?
  • OK. I guess you have only --:-- instead of the times?
The problem is, that a watchface has very limited access rights - for power saving reasons - and can't read quite a lot of data from within the watch or access sensors/interfaces, it's also not possible to sync with some online sources. Therefore, the sunrise/sunset times have to be calculated depending on the current position. Quite complex, but manageable. The biggest problem is getting the position, as the watchface is not allowed to access the GPS to get the current position.
But it is possible to access the last known position, which is not known under some circumstances, can happen after restarting or resetting the watch. If that is the case, you just have to activate GPS. This can be done bu just initiating a GPS-based activity like running. But you don't have to start the activity, it's enough to have it active long enough to get the GPS position confirmation, after that this position is remembered and can be used for calculating the sunrise/sunset times.

Please contact me if that doesn't solve your problem!
  • Qo'nos issue - bad date characters

    Hi,
I have small issue with watchface Qo'nos.
The letters of date circle in watchface are localized (I'm using czech translation) but instead of one letter is just empty square. The bad day is Thursday, in czech it's Čtvrtek, it is non-ascii character. The other one non-ascii character is for Tuesday (Úterý) and it's ok.
If I try these 2 letters add into "center text", Č (for thursday) is also bad.

In garmin analog watchface these daynames were OK.
  • Hi & thanks for the feedback!
I think I missed that character in the font filter, therefore it wasn't displayed unfortunately, simulating different languages in the simulator diesn't work very well so I could not test it thoroughly.
But there is a new Version of the Watchface (complete rework, more config options, more data) that will hit the Garmin store soon, in that one this problem should no longer exist.

    Cheers,
    Alex

OK, I'll wait and try the upcomming version.
    Thanks
  • Regarding Qo'noS watchface ... you took away the diver's hands so now I'm using the aviator ones (I like the layout). One request though, do you think you can make the aviator hands slightly bigger by making them thicker (by growing the outside edge, not by shrinking the inner hole)? Currently, because the shape is quite thin, in certain angles the hands look weird due to the way are being rendered with a limited number of pixels. Don't be afraid of large hands because this is, after all, a large watch and it will fit nice.

    Thanks.

All localized letters in date cirle ring data are ok, but day of week in circle inner data is wrong for thursday (čtvrtek in czech). I'm not using it, just reporting minority bug.

And maybe request - I think that sort settings by position would be more clear: all setting for first position, then all settings for position 2 etc.
  • Qo'noS

    Vom Design top !!!
