Watchface: TrekFace1

Star Trek Face (TrekFace1)

Background
This is for all Star Trek fans. When I bought my Garmin Fenix 3 HR and know that the face could be customised, I looked high & low for a LCARS face. However, there is none for this model but for other models instead. And the creator of the LCARS watchface is not keen to develop one for the Fenix series. So, that's how it all started...

This is my first foray into Garmin programming. I've met with a lot of challenges but luckily there are many kind & helpful Garmin experts who are always willing share their experiences and knowledge with newbies like us :)

Features:

1) LCARS UI + Big Time + Date
2) Bigger fonts (my eyesight is no longer good)
3) Heartbeat
4) Steps taken for today + distance
5) Steps taken bar meter
6) Bar charts of steps taken for past 7 days - Gray for not meeting goal & Orange for having met the goal + Today (in Blue)
7) Move bar indicator (in red bars at the bottom of screen)
8) Battery level percentage (I love to see the percentage number)
9) Bluetooth connectivity status (Star Trek Logo) - Connect to your phone to see the Star Trek Enterprise Logo! Stay in touch with the ship
10) Message count
11) 2nd Time Zone
12) Sunrise/Sunset Times

v1.0.7
- Fix AM/PM (A/P). It will not appear if you select the 24-hr military time format

v1.1.5
- Added 2nd Time Zone on the top. You can select the time zone in the Watch Face Settings page.

v1.2.1
- Added Sunrise/Sunset timing to the top.

    Hi Ronson,

Is your watch in Chinese? I have been reading around and it seems that there are different firmware for Chinese watches (Taiwan, China, Japan). Still couldn't find anyone who knows how to support Chinese yet. But I will still keep looking.

    Thanks for your feedback.

You can do it via the Connect IQ Mobile App via:

Garmin Devices > fenix 3 > Connect IQ Apps > Watch Faces > Star Trek Face (TrekFace1) > Settings > Second Time Zone

  • Hi,
I'd love to test this awesome looking watch face but it seems that it doesn't work on my Garmin Bravo D2 Titanium.
In place of the Trek watch face, my watch only displays the standard digital watch face (I guess it does so to show at least a something when a crash occures).
I have the latest firmware (2.5) and the language is set to french.

Ok ... it is working like a charm now since the new 2.6 Firmware has been released (I guess it is the update of the Connect IQ SDK from v1.2.1 to v1.3 that made it working ... ) .
    Looks great !
