As far as I know that is not possible. Once you connect the chest strap in the watch menu it becomes the only source of data. This means that even the functions that otherwise return the ohr hr will return…
Good job for developing this and making it accessible to the public. A really great idea to help in pacing a group ride.
I love it!
Hi. I want to ask if there is an option in the application that would record all the data from the chest belt and from the OHR just for informational purposes for comparison? I am asking because similar applications do not know this, and data from OHR is stored in Garmin Connect.
It does kind of but from your question it looks like this is what the others do as well: it records the chest hr to a fit field just like Garmin does for the ohr, so you can compare them in Garmin Connect or any tool you choose to read the fit file
I'm talking about training status. If the watch only uses OHR, then it is very distorted and the chest belt therefore has only an informative meaning. However, if the application takes primary data from the chest belt and the OHR is only for comparison, that would be great.
As far as I know that is not possible. Once you connect the chest strap in the watch menu it becomes the only source of data. This means that even the functions that otherwise return the ohr hr will return the HR from the strap.
It is a pity. Thanks for the answers.
