Does anybody have seen problems with a crashing BigTime watchface when shutting down that annoying "reached your step goal" fireworks animation?

It's a bunch of CIQ watchfaces that have this problem on the vivoactive. It's not a problem with the watchface, it's a problem in the 2.80 version of FW, and Garmin is working on getting a fix out for it. Two ways to avoid this.

    1) switch back to the default watchface
    2) set your step goal high enough so you wont reach it (maybe add 10,000 to what it normally is, so you still have a reference)

Thanks for your quick answer. That explains that. Sadly the default watchface is so incredibly dull and uninformative ...

That's why I added 10,000 to my normal goal to avoid the "fireworks". The fireworks cause the problem.

But then I won't reach my goal and loose my streak. ;)

How do you change your goal on the watchface. I increased my goal on the app and it now says 10000, but it didn't change on the watchface.

    Thanks!
  • Next time you sync it should update on the device.

Thanks. I did and it worked great yesterday! I got 15,000 + steps and everything worked fine. Today it had some trouble. At 10,000 (goal) it did the fireworks and then went back to the standard digital watchface for another 1000 steps. Then it went back to the BigTime face, but lost 4000 steps. Then when it got back up to 10,000 it did the fireworks and was fine. It's up to like 12,000 now. It was strange, since the second time it reached my goal it was fine. I guess I'll try increasing my goal and see if that helps, though I agree with Besserwisser that it will be a bummer to miss the fireworks!

i love this watchface and i enjoy getting my fireworks. I'll just deal with it until Garmin gets a fix. Tiny inconvenience compared to the other things I deal with on a daily basis! Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating this app and sharing it with us. Not going back to boring "Digital" no matter what!

BigTime is the best watch face out there. I just wish the fireworks situation with the VA was resolved so I can go back to using it. I hate hate HATE the default watch face. If I were king of the Vivoactive, BigTime should be the default watch face.
