There is not Heart Rate Gauge option in the Heart Rate Data fields on the 645. Is that true and if so why.

If it's anything like the 935, HR Gauge is a separate data *page* not a field. Unfortunately, I don't think this is in the manual for either the 935 or 645.
On my 935, I would add it to an activity as follows:
1) Open the activity (e.g. Run)
2) Hold UP for the menu
3) Select [Activity] Settings (e.g. Run Settings)
4) Select Data Screens
5) Scroll UP or DOWN until I reach the page that says "+ Add New"
6) Select HR Gauge
thanks for the respons Will. Followed those steps....not present. Watched a video where it was a data field under Heart Rate Fields on a 235. Seems to be missing. Love that screen too.
Ah that's too bad. Sorry, I assumed 645 would have that page.
Not exactly the same thing, but you could try this Connect IQ app if you have a spare slot:
(this was the most popular one I could find)
Thanks Will, I have been using the data field called RunningDF41. If you put it in the top field it give you the same effect but uses up one of the 2 ConnectIQ Data Fields you are allowed to use per activity on the 645. I will give yours a try too.
