    Hi Martin,

    you ask for a feedback:

the datafield does always not working on my fenix3.

    Firmware: 6.90
    Display: 3.30
    GPS: 3.00

I get only the IQ logo with a yellow "!"

    Thanks and best regards

Hi Helmut, many thanks for your feedback.

There's a problem with the datafield when the app (myself with bike app): when the app is not running the datafield cannot get values from the Fenix 3 and that leads to that error.

Please, start the app first and then select this datafield; this way it should work.
I'm using it on my Fenix 3 perfectly every week :)

Please, let me know if it works to you this way too.

    Regards,
    Martin

That´s it - now the datafield is running!!!! - THANKS (you should write this tipp to the descripton in garmin connect and you will get only 5 Star ratings:D)

I use my fenix 3 for paragliding (https://www.facebook.com/groups/GarminFenix3/permalink/999313836827169/?pnref=story)

and your datafield looks pretty good for me - especially the altitude graphic view -.

I try to test it this weekend (but i think we have "foehn" in the north alps and flying isn´t possible:()

I will give you a feedback.

Thanks for your hard work and have a nice weekend

    Best regards

Thanks a lot for your feedback Helmut!!!

It looks nice that paragliding, and above the Alps even more, I hope I'd be able to try it some day :-), meanwhile I'll enjoy my bike...
Have fun, good luck with the weather and I hope you'll find this datafield usefull!

    Best wishes,
    Martin
  • Nice colorful datafield, thanks !

    A few comments :
    - As it is Average HR is hard to read, but I find it more useful than Max HR, maybe they could be swapped, or there could be an option for that?
    - The HR and Speed are "stuck" together on my FR235, maybe a font issue but I can't see any way to change it.
    - Elapsed time info is "jumbled", the seconds are "behind" the minutes, maybe you could show 00'00'' for less than an hour and then 0:00' ?

Hi Webvan, thanks a lot for your comments, they are really appreciated.

I'm collecting all of your ideas and I will try to implement them on the next release of the datafield.

    thanks again.

    altitude (meters) with gradient percentage

    Hello
Is the gradient percentage a feature only for barometric watches ? Or it works for example withe the forerunner 235.

the gradient percentage is being calculated using the variation of altitute every 20 meters, so this would a working feature for every watch with GPS receiver.
