  • Finally a complex field with a readable TODay, thanks!

A few suggestions if I may:
    - at least on the FR235, the instant pace seems to be the best option these days as Garmin already smooths it out quite a bit
    - switch Average Pace and Instant HR
    - replace Average HR by Cadence

    Thanks again!

Thank you, I will think about it. :)
  • Sure, gave it a bit more thought during my run today and I'm not so sure about the HR/Average Pace switch suggestion as there's a nice symmetry to the design and HR is quite legible.

The other two still stand though as I was getting strange Pace readings and Cadence is more "immediate" info as you can't do much about Average HR ;-) Maybe as a setting?

Yes, I am thinking about settings. As soon as I have time, I'll remake instant pace and switch AvgHR/CAD. That ought to be enough. Every runner is different, it will never perfectly fit all. :)

    Thank you for your suggestions!
  • Hello Luca,

Is it possible to set the Current Pace with a custom time-smoothing (i.e.last 30 seconds)?

    Thanks a lot

Just saw you had updated the DF, thanks! Can you post here for future updates so we can get notified via email ?
  • Gave the new version a try today during a one hour run and it worked great, including the instant pace. A few suggestions :

    1. I noticed after stopping the run that the run time shown was in fact the "Elapsed Time", could you use "Timer" instead so as to remove any stops along the way?

    2. About the timer, I noticed that after 59'59" it switches to 1h00' due to space constraints. Could the 1h00'00" format be kept, maybe by making the "Average Pace" field smaller ? Besides it does "bother" me a bit that "Average Pace" is as large as "Instant Pace" ;-)

    3. I do struggle a bit to read the HR field (possibly due to the green background), could it be switched with the larger "Battery Level" field?

Thanks again for a very useful DF!

    Elapsed Time

Thank you Luca, for the app, it's great having it in the arsenal of information, very readable, and understandable, I would recommend this one!

I agree with the suggestion to use timer rather than elapsed time. I think many runners with garmins (like me!) stop the timer at traffic lights, or for breaks. Garmin does not count these breaks generally in the time setting it uses as a default, so my recommendation would be to follow them. but, alternatively, perhaps an option to swap the two?

Thanks again for your work on this!
  • v0.3

Thank you for your suggestions, new version is released.
