Hello MattinG!
This might be the perfect TSS helper for me. I work as bicycle messenger and don't have a power meter on my work bike. So this could be a great help, This might even be of some use when I consider that I not only ride my bike as efforts, but also for example run stairs and things like that...and that might help getting a better TSS for my working days.
I did a test today and instantly did a mistake: I didnt write down the HrTSS when ending the activity and I think the value is now "lost", right?
So that would be a question if there is a way to store the HrTSS in the fit file to get it over to Garmin Connect or even better into Golden Cheetah when opening the fit file there. If including it as a metric right into the fit file is not possible, then maybe there could be a trick like using another datafield for the purpose. Like a description field (I dont know what is actually avaiable in a fit file as these are binary coded)...
Thank you for your effort and thank you for sharing!

...great!
How about adding a threshold value expressed as a minimum heart rate in order to count any TSS points? That way a longer pause won't have a big impact on the TSS. I mentioned that I work as bicycle messenger and it happens that I stand by for upto 30 minutes where I just sit or stand and wait for a job and then the TSS increments 0,01 every second which means 36 TSS per hour just by doing nothing.
Take care,
Rodja.
Not sure what I did wrong. I added this data field to my custom HIIT app. As soon as I started my workout the data field showed a blue I with a yellow exclamation point. It never showed a value. I did input a threshold heart rate before I started.
