Check for connected external sensor

Is there any way to check if an external heart rate sensor like HRM is connected in a device (watch) app? The phone connection seems to be straightforward, but I couldn't find a function for external sensors. Could you please provide sample code?

Rob, you may get an answer here from one of the app developers but this thread is primarily to showcase and support specific apps/widgets etc. You might have more luck in Discussion - Connect IQ - Garmin Forums where technical IQ issues are discussed. If you are actually referring to an app function rather than the underlying Connect IQ code, suggest you check if the app has a support thread or at least include the app's name in the title.
