Digital Compass

Hi.
What I would love to see (and maybe somebody asked for this already) is a digital compass. The idea is when I am in the wood (as an example) I can save the "starting point" and then somewhere on the trail request the compass to direct me to the "starting point". That is not the navigation. That is just an arrow that show you the way to the "point". I know that is not for mountains but still can be very helpful when NO cellphone connections.

I understand what you are talking about. I used applications with the feature you described since the old days of Pocket PCs, and I still love to travel with this feature today. I am working on something you will love. Give me a month :-).

I'm definitely looking for something that implement the dream feature!

for simple "Back to start" functions-

There's actually "Find my Car" in the app store, that grabs the GPS location when you start, and later will give you directions and distance back to that location. Last time I tried it, once you had the location, you could leave the app, and later come back to the app later, and it would remember your last "start" and resume the directions and distance.

With standard recording apps on the devices I've used, there has been a "back to start" screen available with distance and direction. And I do know of a CIQ app for hiking (called "hike" and only for the va and the new forerunners right now) that will not only give you distance and direction back to start, but also direction and distance to up to 25 waypoints, and well as a graphic display of your route and waypoints (I know - shameless plug here! :) )

Hi, small detail but Is there any solution to support turkish character as "ı" and "İ" in address bar. - these are turkish language character that doesn't support in address bar. If possible maybe you consider that for the next upgrade. Thank you.

I am not sure if I will be able to do something about it. It may be that the font used by the watch does not support these characters (?). Please can you send me GPS coordinates example? How it looks on the watch? Just white or black square instead of char?

I have seen czech characters, like "ř,á,ě" (there are many), functioning very well on watch...

I did not planned to. I was thinking Epix has all the GPS features you can imagine and this app does bring nothing to mix. Was I wrong? It really should not take too much work to make Epix version. But I cannot test it, and I do not want to release buggy version. If you will be happy to test it for me prior to release, I will make it...

I see. That's unfortunate, isn't it? I will try to play with OpenStreetMap options and maybe add an configuration to force eng or something...
