Analog watchface with some cool features like altitude or sunset/sunrise times.

  • Love the watch-face. It would be beneficial to have some kind of indicator when you are charging the watch (a lightning bolt in the battery) so that you know the cable is plugged in properly.

    Thanks

Hi, thanks. I'm affraid that watchfaces don't have this information available in the API.
  • sunrise

Can anybody help me with this?
I have a F3, latest software and this nice watch face. It works fine, except for the sunrise. I see --:-- above the battery indicator.
How can I make it work?
  • You can try to get GPS fix for loaction update.

Really nice watch face - thank you. Gives the Fenix 3 the look of the more elegant Gents watches that less fit Gents wear :)

The only slight improvement I could suggest is making the edges of the 'hands' crisper - they look a little fuzzy but I expect that's a limitation of the display, not the design.

    Thanks Again, Stephen.

I just bought the 235 too, but I can't get this watch faces to work.
I have installed it through the Garmin connect app and I can see it on the phone when I go into Clock and the watch fave, but when I select superb it Shows the watch face as connect IQ, any ideas?

I've also tried installing other faces through the IQ Store, it won't let me saying I need to update the software, when I check what software I'm running I'm already on V2.4

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

the 2.4 FW is VERY old. There was a major change with Connect IQ in version 3.10 FW (CIQ version 1.2.1) The current FW is 3.30. You need to update your FW - you can do that with Garmin Express.

Thanks Jim, I had just done a google search for Forerunner 235 software update and the result that came back was talking about a 2.41 Beta version and the article was dated early January 2016, so I figured as it was so recent that 2.40 was the most current non beta version.
I'll get 3.30 updated tonight and hopefully that will fix a few things...
    Cheers.

The main FW for the 235 is now version 3.30.

The 2.41 you see is for the "sensor hub" FW - the part that deals with the OHRM, IIRC.

Here's the thread for the 235 in general where both are discussed:
