Version History
1.0
  • Initial release

1.1
  • White background
  • Additional watch support

1.2
  • Selectable background colour
  • Minor display tweaks

1.3
  • Data averaging
  • Play / stop symbols

1.4
  • Alarm option
  • Future device support (fenix3 HR, Tactix Bravo)
  • red and green borders

Just checking as to which modes the app is in when it has the red or green borders. This would be on a vivoactive.

Thanks, it works great. I was looking for something that would give a continuous readout of heart rate without running inside one of the other running, walking, etc. apps.
  • Border colours

    Hi. Thanks for the review.

The red border means that the main activity, collecting min and max HR, has not been started, or is stopped. The green border indicates that you have started min/max recording. However the green disappears after a few seconds to reduce screen clutter.

This mimics the standard Garmin activity start sequence on a Fenix, my main device. I've added some details to the app description to hopefully clear this up.
  • Thanks for a cool app, especially useful on the FR235. Some kind of memory would be nice indeed if possible.
  • Memory

Hi Webvan, thanks for the feedback.

By memory, do you mean a permanent min/max memory, or a list of min/max for previous recordings? Or something else? I've a couple of specific enhancements I'm working on at the moment, but could add something like this in later.
  • Will only work once before requiring reboot

I like this app. Thank you!
It's great for determining resting HR for example. :)
But now I can only run it once and then I have to reboot the watch to make it work again.
The second time (and from there on) I try to run it there will be no HR registered.
I only get -- for HR even if the HRM is connected and working with other apps.
Just as if I didn't have a HRM connected.
After a reboot it will work again but only once.

I'm running the Software Version 6.52 beta.
    Display: 3.01
    GPS: 3.00
    BLE/ANT: 3.20
    WiFi: 2.00
    CIQ: 1.2.2

Thanks again for a simple but great app.
I hope this problem will be fixed soon. :)

Hello, and thank you for your very nice app.
I don't know what user Webvan meant with "memory", but in my case, I'd like to ask you to implement logging, if at all possible, so to have a record of my heart rate when I play tennis! :)

    Thanks for your efforts.

I've started seeing this occasionally myself, but hadn't twigged to the once then needs reboot sequence. It works perfectly in the simulator, sigh. Thanks for the comprehensive bug report. I hope to have an update soon.

I've been thinking of a system that does something like:
    • at end of session ask to save min, max or both
    • show list/graph of last 5-7 readings
    • show longer term (monthly?) average

Does this sound like what you're after?

I found a possible fix this morning. If it pans out through testing and doesn't cause any other issues I should have a new version out within the next day or two.
