Widget: Ultra Chrono

UltraChrono measure the elapsed time between two instants during days and months. With Ultrarunners in mind, UltraChrono is optimized to work as long as it can spending the minimum energy.

Where is the trick? The native chrono app uses a background process to control the elapsed time and during all this period, this process is consuming battery. UltraChrono only record the start instant and each time you start the widget, UltraChrono calculates the duration between the current time and the start time. This means that the measurement only need battery when the widget is visible.

With this design, you can restart your watch, run out of battery, etc. but you will always get the elapsed time when you view the widget.

The red mark show the seconds and the green arc the minutes.

Enjoy!
  • True but you can use the countdown widget that offers chrono(s) too.
  • I'm sorry. I hope I'll have some time during holidays to update it ...
  • New version 1.2 compatible with almost all devices
    Thank you for your patience!
  • Works well on the 935, thanks
  • Morning. Just downloaded to my VVA3M and noticed that when I press Start by using the key the unit takes me back to my watchface. The key always takes the user back to the watch face so I am wondering if there is a issue with input on touch screen one button products. Excited to use this once updated.

Sorry ... I can only test it on sim, and there it works as expected ...
I'll think how to make it work on your VVA3M !!!

    Thank you!!
  • MarkusGL, I took a look at this and it looks like the sim is out of sync with the device firmware here. Within a widget loop, if you are on the base page view of your widget, the key on the vivoactive 3 and 3 Music will return to the watch face. This is consistent with the native widget behavior. I have created a ticket for our team to look at getting the behavior in the sim in this case in line with the device. As a work around, you could use a screen tap or add another view layer on this device.
