To create your own design or modify one, install & use the M2 Designer app on your watch. These are the steps you would go through:

  • Optionally paste a text code into the "Profile Text" setting of M2 Designer & save the settings, or load one of your previously saved designs (either via the settings or the in-app menu).
  • Run the M2 Designer app (found underneath your activities list) and create your design.
  • Once you've finished, open the Garmin settings for M2 Designer.
  • The text code in "Profile Text" will now represent whatever your design looks like, so copy the text code from "Profile Text" - and be careful to select the whole text.
  • Close the settings for M2 Designer.
  • Open the Garmin settings for M2 (watchface) instead.
  • Delete any text that was already in "Profile Text" - this step helps to avoid potential problems
  • Paste the text code into "Profile Text".
  • Save the settings.
  • Now when you view the M2 watchface it will show your changes.

    I've just been editing JimAEgirson's code but now my face is blank. I tried copy and paste a few times, made sure there are no spaces, and there is no 2nd half required. Any ideas what's wrong? Here is the code:

    Thanks, but I got both parts. It was working. Then I removed quite a few things so the code was small enough to fit in one part, but now when I save the code in M2 Designer and paste it to the watch face, the face is blank.

    Thanks for this recent update.  I emailed you about the same thing a day or two ago.  I think your work is the best, and really really looking forward to being able to use it on the Venu.

    Nice to see the hands working and cool designs Slight smile Although I was expecting smaller dials and not full display ones! I wish I could provide options for different shapes to the hands, but I don't think there is enough free memory ...

    Note that anti-aliasing (smooth edges) on the hands and circular dials will only work on some watches (it depends on Garmin firmware). So in the simulator versions it will work on the 260x260 and 280x280 displays as they are set to use Fenix 6, but the 240x240 it will be jagged as that is set to run on the Fenix 5X+ (which doesn't have antialiasing) - you can see the jagged edges in JimAEgirson's screenshot.

    I also think there might be a redrawing bug if you are using the seconds indicator and it goes near one of the new dials. But I'll fix this when I get time.

    Venu is on my list Slight smile But it's a lot of work for me, so not sure when I'll get time to do it ...

    If you can check what the "start of week" setting is on your watch - I don't know if it will match the mobile app setting which Jack681 mentioned. On my watch it is in Settings > System > Format > Start of Week.

    Note that the day of week is displayed as 7 segments which fill up the circle or bar. On the first day of the week one segment is full, and on the 7th day of the week, all 7 segments are full. If you are using the hand style, then the hand points to the end of the last full segment, so on the 7th day the hand will point straight up at 12 o'clock.
