  • Fenix 3 elegance on Forerunners

    hi,

just saw your Fenix 3 elegance face and put it on my Forerunner watch. i really like the artistic sense of the watch, but realized that in practice, the inability to have the hour and minute hands be the same color limits the utility of the watch for quick glances as the colors of the different elements can get confusing.

    so...

    Feature request:
    - ability to set the minute and hour hands to be the same color (and perhaps an ability to make hands a bit thicker)
    - or : greater flexibility in choosing color elements for hour hand, minute hand, ticks, and gauges.

i see what you are a trying to accomplish artistically with the inverted colors, but at least for me, in practice, at a quick glance, one must do a double take to decipher the time. perhaps it will be something i will get used to... but i thought i'd ask for at least option #1 posed above.
  • Hi,
acutally you can set the hour hand and minute hand to the same color.
Just set "Number color" and "Ticks color" to the same color.
The hand colors go with those colors. (hour hand color is the same as Number color; minute hand color is the same as ticks color)
That's the design idea of my Elegance.

    Just try it out.
  • yes, i tried that and it looks pretty good.

... although the gauges look a little nonsensical since there is no additional color to indicate actual levels for the battery and step goal...

but i totally respect that you had particular artistic design in mind.

    Uno Day-Night

    Hi,

I really love your "Uno Day-Night" watch face. But it is a little hard to read the minutes. What do you think about adding an option wheather to display or not the minutes (digits) arround the red triangle or anywhere else.

    Best regards,
    Christophe
  • Hi,
actually that would be quite a massive change for this watch face.
And the idea of the minute marker is to take advantage of the fixed minute scale on the glass of the Fenix3.
I could take a different color (for the black face) to better highlight this marker. Would that help?

But also think, that the entire idea of single hand watches is to have only the hour scale. (look also in the Inernet for "Slow watch"). So taking time a little bit more relaxed and not worry about every single minute and second.
So I thought this minute marker is a good compromise to keep the idea of single hand watches but also having the option to see minutes if necessary.

You can also contact me via the contact formular in the App Store in case you would like to have some customization of this watch face.

    Cheers

    Hi,

thanks for your answer and explanation. The hightlight of the minutes marker is fine.

I did not known the idea of "slow watch" before, but I think it's a great idea and I will be more relax now !

Thanks for your work, I have found you have made a lot of great faces.

    Regards,
    Christophe

Adjust constrast of night bar in white mode

I really like the Uno day-night -great implementation of the sunrise/sunset. Regarding that bar, when in white mode, please could you change the colour of the barto be darker (so that it contrasts a bit better. -like it does it the black mode)

    Thank

Hi thanks for the moonstruck watch face!
Is there any chance we could get colour options on the utc hand as well as half hour time zones?
Want to set the 2nd time zone to India which is 5.5 hours ahead but app only accepts whole numbers.
    Thanks for this watch face!

  • Hi,
    thanks for your feedback.
    Yes, I can do that.
I just want to let you know that it will take some time. I currently can not work on my watch faces because I'm very busy with other topics.

    Cheers
  • Hi,

For Moonstruck watch face, is there a way to work out the high and low tide time base on the sun and moon position indicator? For spring and neap tide can refer to moon age indicator pretty easy for me already. Thank you.

    Regards,
    Felix
