Heart Rate Zone Distribution v1.3
Heart Rate Zone Interval v1.0

Heart Rate Zone Distribution
This data field shows the heart rate zone distribution. The bar colors change dynamically during the activity depending on how much time is spent in each heart rate zone.
NEW: The single field layout on all watches (except the Vivoactive) displays the time in min:sec alongside separate graphs for each zone.

Heart Rate Zone Interval
This data field shows the heart rate zone in a moving bar graph. The bar colors change dynamically during the activity depending on heart rate zone. The field is meant to visualize the heart rate during intervals, too make it easier see if the effort is appropriate.
NEW: The single field layout is redesigned, and now show a proper graph.

Common for both fields
  • Heart rate zones are user configurable on watches supporting Connect IQ 1.2 and above.
  • Heart rate can be shown as Beats Per Minute or as a percentage of Max HR (user selectable)
  • In some layouts the label background is colored to show the current zone (user selectable)

The following settings are available (Defaults are provided for watches not supporting user settings):
  • Display HR as % of max HR (Default: On)
  • Background color of label shows current zone (Default: On)
  • Duration of graph in minutes (Heart Rate Interval data field only. Default: 15 min)
  • HR Zone 1 (Default: 120 BPM)
  • HR Zone 2 (Default: 132 BPM)
  • HR Zone 3 (Default: 146 BPM)
  • HR Zone 4 (Default: 153 BPM)
  • HR Zone 5 (Default: 163 BPM)
  • HR Max (Default: 194 BPM)
  • How to change settings

Sorry to hear that. I'll look into it. Both fields work just fine on my fenix 3, so it might be some sort of incompatibility with the FR 230. Are you running the latest firmware version? And do this happen with both data fields?

    heart rate

Love the idea of seeing how much time I spend in each HR zone. Does this data download anywhere so that I can keep a record of it?
    Thanks :-)

    Hi,

For some strange reason Garmin Connect doesn't display time in zones.

But you can see time in zones on the watch itself, just load the activity and choose 'Time in Zones'.
Or you can upload the activity file to Strava or any other site of the same type to see the HR distribution.

The single-field redesign for the Heart Rate Interval data field is fininshed and available in the App Store:

    Hi TORSTEINVH.

    Great field!

I'm wondering if you can add a setting for the 230/235 to change the background colour to black? Unlike the Fenix 3, the default watch settings don't allow you to invert the background/foreground colours.

Also, the splash screen for the 235 needs a bit of formatting:

    Hope this helps, and thanks!

Would love to swap HR for power (cycling)

I'm a cyclist and use power in the same way as HR for training. This app would be really useful if you could select power instead of HR. In an ideal world the option to display power with a line for HR would also be great!

    Hi,

Take a look at my other data fields Ride Graphs or Power Zone Intervals.
I think the first one is what you are looking for :)

  • I have an issue

    Hi,

First off: Thanks for this. I am using both theese datefields and find them very useful.

But I do have an issue with the Heart Rate Zone Distribution datafield. It only counts my time in zone when that particular datafield is showing.
I'm using it on a Fenix 3 with software version 7. (But i have had the same issue on earlier software verisons.

    Any thoughs or pointers?

    Thanks

That's a bit strange... I'll look into it.

  • new models support

I had those data fields on my F3 and I really miss them on my F5
Is there any plan to support the new models ?

    Thanks
