Two questions about the Stop and Go app

I'm using the Stop and Go app on my Vivoactive 3 and like it a LOT.  Two questions though....

1. While running, the total time and lap time both show hundredths of a second, but after saving and viewing in IQ Connect, I see only tenths of a second.  Are hundredths available for viewing there?

2. When viewing in IQ Connect, is it possible to view split time for each lap alongside the lap time?

Neither of these are deal breakers.... this is a wonderful app.  Good job!

  • Thanks for the feedback! Sorry for the super-late response, I missed this post.

    1. I don't think we can see any more precision than tenths of seconds in Garmin Connect (or in any third party site/app such as strava or runalyze that I'm aware of.) Looking at the FIT activity file itself, I can see that the lap time seems to be recorded to a precision of 3 decimals (e.g. 1.779s, 1.298s.)

I can also see the this detailed lap time when I look at the network requests the Garmin Connect website makes when it loads the activity. I'll post a way to access this info on your computer or phone below.

    2. Garmin Connect (Web) currently has "cumulative time" as a column, which is equivalent to split time. You can also see this on Garmin Connect iOS if you turn your phone sideways (to landscape orientation.) Hopefully the Android version of Garmin Connect works the same way.

  • To obtain detailed data about your laps and see 3 decimal places for lap times:

    1) The manual way

    - Log into garmin connect with a browser (Chrome, Safari or Firefox) on your PC, Mac, phone or tablet: https://connect.garmin.com

    - Navigate to the activity you want to see

    - The URL in the address bar near the top of the window should look like this: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/123456789

("123456789" will be replaced with your unique activity ID)

    - Copy and paste the following address into the address bar: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/proxy/activity-service/activity/123456789/splits

(replace "123456789" with your activity ID)

You will get detailed information about splits in JSON format:

    2) The automatic way (using a "bookmarklet")

    Setup:
    a) bookmark any site at all

    b) Edit bookmark and change name to "GC - show lap info" (or whatever you want)

    c) Change URL/address to the text at the following link (starting with "javascript:" and ending with "()": https://pastebin.com/pcC9zHAw

    Usage:

    - Log into garmin connect in a browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) on your PC, Mac, phone or tablet

    - Navigate to the activity you want to see

    - Click/tap on the bookmarklet you created above. (Depending on your browser, you may need to accept pop-ups for this to work.)
