The "Simple" Watchfaces

I have a few Simple Wathcfaces in the app store:

"Simple Digital" - time/date steps/goal using a 7-segment display like font:

"Simple Big" - time/date steps/goal with a large skinny font.

"Simple Round" and "Simple Round 2" - analog watchfaces for the new forerunner 23x and 630. Simple Round 2 allows choice of 10+ Color Schemes!

Initially, they are for the vivoactive (expect Simple Round and Simple Round 2) and the fr23x and fr 630.

These watchfaces support "user settings" to change color schemes and options.

Here's a very good thread about how to use the "User Settings" feature:

  • Still learning my way with the new forum SW, but here's what Simple Darkside looks like:

  • If you have a fr 735 and have been experiencing the missing heart Rate problme on any of these watchfaces, there new beta firmware for the 735 that fixes it!

Here's the forum link for the new firmware!
  • I just installed Simple Big on my FR235. Sometimes the seconds are shown for a few moments, most time there are no seconds.
  • Carmen - that's the way things work on the 235. You'll see seconds for 10 seconds after a wrist gesture, but then they'll stop. On devices lsince the fenix5, the seconds display all the time.
  • It seems that it doesn't work properly. I turned my wrist because I thought that it might be something like that but most time it didn't work.
  • The watch itself detects the gesture and then lets the watch face know it can display seconds (and tells it to stop 10 seconds later). If you are new to this watch, maybe something about how you are doing the wrist gesture isn't detected by the watch? Maybe try doing it a bit faster of something?
  • Well, seconds are not so important. I just wondered why they were visible for a few moments (I think less than 10 seconds...) and then never came back. I checked settings and couldn't find anything about seconds shown. After one of my settings sync they were back although the watch was on my desk. Then I put it back on my wrist and turned it a few times. Obviously not strong enough. But sometimes they come without any great movement. But what is the difference to the original watchface where seconds are visible all the time? Battery consumption? Obviously the original watchface doesn't use much battery. Simple Big doesn't, too. Since two hours 23% (battery in percent was the reason for another watchface than original). Also installed NoFrills (because of the big bold numbers that I need when I'm in bed without my glasses) but that drained battery from 25 to 23% within 30 minutes.

Some more questions: In Garmin Connect I found something like Data Field Color. I had no idea what is meant and changed it to green. But I couldn't find anything green. Or was that overwritten by the red warning color for step goal not reached yet? And what about more data shown? I selected step goal and 7 days steps. But I couldn't see 7 days. Thought it would toggle, but nothing. And third question: Is there a space for the move bar when step goal is shown? When I installed it the move bar went away so I can't remember if there was step goal and bar or only bar. Okay, if I stay in bed until 10 o' clock this morning I will see if there is vibration, the demand to move on top and the move bar.
  • The box with the ! is for unread notifications. The "zz" is shown during your configured sleep time, the o with a line is "do not disturb" mode, the bell is an alarm is on, and the BT symbol is connected to the phone. On some watches, it will turn pink when in "Do Not Disturb" mode instead of the DND icon being shown
  • I'm trying to download Simple Big, but Connect IQ is telling me I have to update my Fenix 5s - but there's nothing to update in Garmin Express. What do I do?community.garmin.com/.../1354566.png
