The "Simple" Watchfaces

I have a few Simple Wathcfaces in the app store:

"Simple Digital" - time/date steps/goal using a 7-segment display like font:

"Simple Big" - time/date steps/goal with a large skinny font.

"Simple Round" and "Simple Round 2" - analog watchfaces for the new forerunner 23x and 630. Simple Round 2 allows choice of 10+ Color Schemes!

Simple Round 2

"Simple Binary" - time/date in binary, step goal percent and other status leds!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Initially, they are for the vivoactive (expect Simple Round and Simple Round 2) and the fr23x and fr 630.

These watchfaces support "user settings" to change color schemes and options.

Here's a very good thread about how to use the "User Settings" feature:

  • That's an error from Garmin - it could be that the app store was down for maintenance for a bit, so you just need to try again later. If the problem continues, contact Garmin Support.

    Reminder To Move

I received my Forerunner 235 for Christmas. Your Simple Big is by far the most useful watch face for me. I have not been getting any reminders to move, though. I see in the graphics a horizontal bar under the time, which I don't have and wonder whether this is the reminder that I should be getting?
  • Yes, the move bar is the line under the time. You may not be seeing it because you are moving enough! It won't appear until you haven't done "enough" steps for an hour. (less than 100-200, IIRC - I get the move bar level fro the firmware)

Such a quick reply! I will try not wearing it for an hour and see what happens. Thank you. I confirmed that I have the reminder setting on.

    You were right.
  • BTW, you can turn off "Move Alerts" in the fw, and still get the move bar. That setting is just of you want to be notified when it first happens, etc.
  • face-it is a whole different thing.

Which watchface are you running on the va-hr? Most, if not all of mine, will show HR on that device. The bottom line (by default) starts with steps/goal, but there are a bunch of other things and every minute they will switch.

With GCM or Garmin Express, using settings, you can pick which of them you want to see. "Simple Heart" and "Simple Activity" show HR all the time, and "Simple Graph will also show the 4hr history graph of your HR.

Does it also show the 4 hour Air Pressure history? Just installed it on my VAHR and while the current value is correct, the trend is not going in the direction I was expecting looking at local stations and my barometer.
  • WEBVAN - by any chance does it look backward to you? The newest reading should be on the right. Does it look like it might be on the left?

    new to binary clock

    hello guys,

Just got a garmin vivoactive watch, and Im new to this gadget, so right now Ive been exploring my new watch when I stumble into this cool watch face.

the problem is, Im having diffculties in understanding the meaning of some of the dots..

    let say the center dots:::
the upper most dots(group of 6 dots) are the hours
next "group of 6 dots" are the minutes which is right below the hour dots
the 3rd "group of 6 dots" which is below the minutes line that comes on and off are the "seconds"

may I know the functions of the 4th & 5th "groups of dots"?
may I know also the function of the "group of 10 dots" found at the bottom part?

I kinda also understand the other dots like
    PM
    ALM
    BT
    LBAT

    except for
    the "MOV dot"
    the "zz's dot" and
the "note dot", what is it for?

I really wanna use this watch face, but It be more useful if I could understand all the dot's meaning.

thank you in advance for the help...

    BG,
  • may I know the functions of the 4th & 5th "groups of dots"?
may I know also the function of the "group of 10 dots" found at the bottom part?

The 4th and 5th row are the date - month and day. The 10 at the bottom are the % of your step goal (one dot for each 10%)

    except for
    the "MOV dot"
    the "zz's dot" and
the "note dot", what is it for?

MOV is that you have a move alert,"zz" is that you are in sleep mode, and "note" is that you have notifcations.
