The "Simple" Watchfaces

I have a few Simple Wathcfaces in the app store:

"Simple Digital" - time/date steps/goal using a 7-segment display like font:

"Simple Big" - time/date steps/goal with a large skinny font.

"Simple Round" and "Simple Round 2" - analog watchfaces for the new forerunner 23x and 630. Simple Round 2 allows choice of 10+ Color Schemes!

"Simple Binary" - time/date in binary, step goal percent and other status leds!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Initially, they are for the vivoactive (expect Simple Round and Simple Round 2) and the fr23x and fr 630.

These watchfaces support "user settings" to change color schemes and options.

Here's a very good thread about how to use the "User Settings" feature:

    Changes to the SimpleBig watchface

    Hello all

I am new to the forum and to the Connect IQ and watchface thing becaus eof my Vivoactive HR I bought yesterday. I also found the SimpleBig watchface and I really like it a lot -- more than the ones coming from Garmin. ;-)

At the description I saw the following: "User settings allow for setting time color, how steps and goal are displays, and if steps/goal should be a different color when under goal." I didn't find the possibilties to change colors under settings.

And what I like to see is the possibility to see the actual Heartrate directly on the WF. Maybe instead of the total steps ...

Thanks for your great work, have a nice day.

  • To change colors, it uses "app setting" from your phone or with Garmin Express. See the "How to: App Settings" thread at the top of this forum.

I may add the HR in the future, but right now from a Watchface, I don't have access to that info.

Thanks for the answer -- I must have missed the link in older posts. So I hope that some day the HR info will be included.

One last question: the total step counter shows only the steps from the last 6 days. Is it possible to make it also adjustable via the App settings to "last 7 days" or "Weekly steps" beginning with the day from the user profile or a selectable week day?

    Have a great time

    It's actually the last 6 days+today.

The reason I did it that way is for challenges. Let's say you're in a 60k step challenge, and with the steps counted this way, every day you can see if you're on track for the challenge. If at the end of Thursday, your "last 6+today" is only 50k, you may want to walk more on Fri to get back to the 60k range. On Sunday, that number actually show where you are in the actual challenge, as they always end Sunday night.

I'll consider having options though. :)

    Colours

Hi. Really like the watch face but the colours are duller than the images on IQ, especially the red move bar towards the bottom of the face. I noticed the same dull red in another watch face so I just want to check its not a watch quality issue. Can you advise please. Thanks
  • The colors in the images in the store are actually a screen shot of the watchface running on a PC and will look brigheter.

With Simple Big, I have a few different color schemes you can try by using "app settings" from either Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile on your phone.

There is a sticky post at the top of this forums called "How to: App Settings" that shows you how to get to app settings on GE, Android and iOS.

    Excellent Watch Face!

I've only had my VAHR a few days but tried almost every watch face in the store and settled on this one. I love that I can always see the time, even when I don't have my reading glasses on, which is most of the time. I really like the green color because when the sun hits it at the right angle it looks irridesent.
My only question is: what is the box with the exclamation point signify?

That's how I indicate unread notifications (notes) on the Simple watch faces.

    Exclamation point in a box

I have the Simple Big face and I like it. What is the square icon in the upper right with an exclamation point in it? It seems to come and go so it must denote something.
  • It's showing you have unread notifications.
