DataField: UTM100

UTM100 is described and can be downloaded from the Connect IQ Store.

Please, leave your comments, bug reports and suggestions in this thread.

I would appreciate feedback relating to whether or not UTM100 works satisfactory on your particular device. Except for the Garmin device simulator I only have physical access to test on my Fenix-3. It would be nice if some users of other devices volunteer for testing release candidates. Suggestion for support on other devices is welcome.

UTM100 on Epix

I'm in the process of implementing UTM100 support for the Epix. However I have noted that the present SDK 1.1.4 and 1.2.0.beta, display fonts very differently in the Epix simulator! If someone is willing to test UTM100 on a real Epix I can send you a test version. Then we can soon release an official version for Epix too.

Data field does not show position on Vivoactive

Hello Jens,
thank you for submitting this data field. Unfortunately it does not work on my Vivoactive (always showing position E00.00 N00.00). I noticed your hint to setup the system's position format as UTM UPS. But I cannot find any system settings concerning the position format on my Vivoactive. Do I miss anything or is it a bug in the device's firmware? The firmware version of my device is V3.30.
Do you have an idea how to get it to work? Or do I have to wait for a firmware update that fixes this issue?

..with ref to last post - I'm willing to test your application on the Forerunner 630 - but then I need to sideload it (it's not possible to download from the ConnectStore to a non-compatible device.

On a vivoactive, GEO_MGRS always returns zeros on the real device, but works in the sim for the vivoactive.

I reported this to garmin months ago, but haven't heard back when it might be fixed in the FW. One of my apps allows the user to select the format for lat/lon display, and in it, if the user selects MGRS on a vivoactive, I just show it in degrees instead.

Hello Jens,
some firmware updates later I tried your datafield again. Using firmware V4.40 it works on my Vivoactive. It works best for me in a two data field view (i.e. two datafields are shown on one screen) rather than in the standard three data field view, which lacks the UTM-zone designation.
