I am curious to see what people are doing with watch faces. Here is what I am using right now for a watch face:

It is not a problem. I'll do it tomorrow - in my country is late in the evening and I am going to sleep..

also...how difficult would it be to use the hour and minute hands from this android watch?

    thank you!

  • fenix 3 supports only 16 colors, so you can not create the same graphics as the android watches have

Gotcha. the updated one looks great!!!
  • Got mine, i've been tweeking here and there for the last few days.
Steps count above on the right, becomes yellow when 80% of the goal is reached, and green when target is reached (and starts to omit the target from that point). Also shows when Sleep mode is on.
Battery level becomes red when below 30%
Loving to play with the SDK. Really looking forward for the future resources.

Oooh, link it up when it goes live in the store. :)
  • Could this type of watchface be done for Garmin? I had this on an Android Wear watch and find it very useful! However I've sold my Android Wear device for a Fenix 3

Red line shows temperature, blue "blob" is rain/snow (both over the next 12 hours) and the rest is hopefully self explanatory?

The dev then also allows you to call up a weather radar (in 2nd pic)

  • Rendering the red line, blue blob, the weather icons, the time, temperature, and date would not be a problem. It might not look as refined (the Garmin devices are relatively low resolution, and have support for a rather limited number of colors), but displaying the data like this would be possible. Getting the data onto the device on the other hand, that is an issue. Watch faces don't have access to communications facilities, so there is currently no way to display actual weather data.

thanks a lot for the detailed reply, so this would need to be an app then would it?
