In order to use the external Tempe Temperature Sensor you must first pair it with your Garmin Device. This first step has nothing to do with TruFlite. Once paired, you can go to TruFlite/Settings/Options/Tempe Sensor and turn the feature On. The Tempe sensor is a low power device and transmits approximately once per minute, therefore it might be up to a minute before TruFlite will receive a new value from the sensor. Here are some pictures from pairing with a Garmin Fenix 5x. All garmin devices should be somewhat similar although menus might vary. Personally, I zip-tie the Tempe sensor to my bipod, therefore i get a good ambient temperature reading and it also is more likely to not be influenced by direct sunlight. I can also easily move between rifles using multiple Tempe sensor holders.
