Garmin Development Harness v1.0

Hey fellow CIQ devs,

I've made something ridiculous but, at the same time, something I've wanted for a long time.

I've never been happy spending a weekend doing CIQ development and having loose watches and wires floating around on my desk. Moreover, I've found it slightly annoying that I have to pick up my watch each time I want to test on the device itself. The new watches like Fenix 5 series and Vivoactive 3 are worse in this respect because, with the connector in, the device naturally wants to sit face-down--not a useful position for development!

What I wanted was some kind of mount or harness that could hold the watch at a convenient viewing angle, guided the cord away from the device effectively, and had a weighted-base so it sat securely on my desk.

So with a cardboard box, a hair tie, a Xacto knife and some pie weights, I made a thing.

Here are some pics if you'd like to create something similar for your dev setup. If you do, and add any improvements, please feel free to contribute them back to this thread.

One thing I'd like to do in a v2.0 is add a USB-A on/off switch to avoid having to unplug/plug the device (reducing wear). I already have the switch, but haven't integrated it into the mount itself, I think that would be a nice improvement.
