Watchface: Concise

Detail about "Concise" Watch Face are as follows...
Concise shows all the information you need regarding Watch Status, Time & Date and your days Steps data on one clearly laid out, simple watch face.
Concise supports both Metric and Imperial units and 12 and 24 hour clocks.
Concise displays the following...
- Vibrate Mode telltale - Informs you if you have enabled Vibrate on your watch.
- Connected via Bluetooth telltale - Informs you in you have a BTLE device connected.
- Sleep Mode telltale - Informs your watch is in Sleep Mode.
- Day of Week, Month and Date.
- Battery status both as a colour battery graphic and as a numeric percentage.
- Time in large, easy to read numbers. 12 hour clock mode additionally displays AM/PM indicators.
- Steps Bar which shows your progress towards todays step goal as a percentage in the form of an orange bar graph. Overlayed on top of the Steps Bar numerically is your current step count and goal for today, your process towards todays step goal as a percentage and the distance you have moved today.
- Move Bar replaces the Steps Bar when you have been inactive for at least 1 hour. The Move Bar replicates the standard move bar from the Activity Tracking screen onto your watch face as well as overlaying numerically your current step count and goal for today.

Concise Watch Face has been developed to meet my needs on a Garmin Vivoactive. Please let me know any bugs or suggestion in this thread.

Hi,

First of all, I would like to thank you for this great Job.

My 2 'whises':

- change the secondary color.
I don't like orange, and either how it looks in my VA. Has I read before, if Garmin not offer a large variety of colors, have you thing in change de minute font, as Garmin does in his default watchface?

- battery status.
I don't like the background image color of battery status. I think that a numeric percentage, perhaps changing font color depending on de percentage, could looks more minimalist.

Concise

Thanks for your feedback....
1. Garmin only have a handful of colours and the one I have chosen is actually called Orange. Unfortunately there is nothing brighter. I understand the reason for this is the screen is designed for low power usage and good outdoor readability so has no backlight instead relying of reflection of ambient light. As such, the screen contrast and colours will look best in bright light.
2. This is something I will look to add to a future update.
3. I agree there is plenty of height - there is just not plenty of width. If I used the next font size up then all three piece of information would not fit along the status bar at the bottom. In fact, if you are a highly active person, even Steps / Goal and Distance Walked would not fit. See here...

You making any updates to your watch face? I really love it and use it all the time. Only thing i wish i could do is change the color for the time. Orange is nice but with the new connect iq options it would be awesome to have the option.

Configurable

Any chance you plan to update to a configurable option for colors and battery icon (vs %only) showing? Love the face and thank you! Oh - I am using on VA but also have 920XT and would love to have it on that one too.

Glad you like the face! Good news is that yes, I am planning a large update that I hope to write over my Christmas break. Will probably include the following...
* User selectable theme colours
* User selectable status bar (small font, 3 items as per current vs mid-sized font, 2 items)
* User selectable seconds display
* Corrections to rounding of % steps (currently can read 100% when 99.5%)
* Minutes change from theme colour to green when goal is reached so can see goal status when move bar is active
This content will partially depend on what the updates to the SDK have enabled (which I have not reviewed as yet).
Release timing should be early to mid January.

I am not sure what you mean by "battery icon (vs %only) too" as there is a battery icon behind the percent text.

Not sure about 920XT as it does not look right on my simulator (and I don't have a watch to test it on) and I don't want to issue something that doesn't work. I'll see what options I have - stay tuned.

Great news! What I meant by the battery comment is to be able to choose if only the % battery remaining is shown (without the battery icon behind it) or choose to have as is (with the icon and %).
