Application: Sailing

This thread is for any comments or questions regarding my Sailing application. Feel free to post suggestions for new features or bugs. Thanks for using.

3 hours of sailing no problems app working tracking worked without crashing on 2 watches
Overall green and red on AVG10 it Genius love it!!!!
Some ideas may be to add AVG30 or AVG60 for long offshore sailing

Tested the App for 2 weeks now

using fenix 3 w. latest software, sailing app 0.7
sometimes the green "play" triangle does not dissapear when starting the recording.
we had occasional crashes switching between the screens (Display: IQ!) with the earlier versions, had to restart the app.
when hitting the "return" botton by accident the track (and total mileage) just stopps. would like to have the "resume, discard, save, resume later" options of the standard activities when hitting the "return" botton or just a signal if the recording is stopped. it would also be nice to adjust the distance for the anchor alert to be more useful.
the 10sec. average speed display with red/green is perfect for trimming even in gusty wind.
thank you for your great work! my watch is far more useful when sailing with your app. spent a few beers to keep updates coming. best, christoph

Distance in meters ? Why
You have button lock in watch long press on light button and you will see some new options

In dingy's the distance to line is mostly small, and it is easier to talk about 1 or 2 meters then 0.? something nautical miles.

Love the app and its potential, but sadly it crashes on me every time I set the startline. Has anybody got this to work, am I doing something wrong?

I also think it would be useful and logic if the countdown switches to elapsed time once it reaches zero. Also for a more accurate starting time I wish that you could start the countdown with the Start/Stop, after setting it for 10-5-4 etc in the countdown menu. And of course with the next press of the Start/Stop, elapsed time stops when passing the finish line :cool:

Love the app, great work!

Sadly it chrashes(iQ! comes up) when I try to use the starting line. Has anybody else made this work, am I doing something wrong?

I think it would be useful i you could start the countdown timer with the Start/Stop button for more precise start of the countdown. Also when the countdown reaches zero, it should automatically start elapsed time - which you then stops with the Start/Stop button when passing the finish line :cool:

We always use a three min countdown for our local laser club races. Any change that can be added?

Hi,
I installed app. When i try to start it f3 shows "IQ!" And app doesn't start. F3 fw 4.4.

I'm in an F3 And 4.4 as well.
Just installed After u made the above comments.
Works ok. Loads up fine. No errors.

I head a pro user of my app complain too. I asked him to reboot his watch (4.4 had specific instructions about apps or such being messed). After reboot it was ok.

Bug?? I keep pressing the down button to get to next page. The virtual start line and then a green dot comes in and the. After multiple presses goes to IQ! Hehe. Bug.

Issue after starting recording

ver 0.7 on F3 with 4.40

a few seconds after I start recording, the watch freezes in the Garmin startup screen. once the only remedy was a hooking up to a computer, the second time a hard reset worked to get the watch functioning.

Any idea on what could be the cause?

Be advised

There are several glitches in the 4.4 that make the watch crash under normal conditions and this has nothing to do with the Sailing app.
