    Once installed you can configure it using the following steps. Configure layout to be one field and select Single Run Field as the choice for that field.
    1. Hold UP.
    2. Select Settings > Apps.
    3. Select the activity to customize. (Choose "Run" for example)
    4. Select Data Screens.
    5. Select a data screen to customize.
    6. Select an option:
    • Select Status to turn the data screen on or off.
    • Select Layout to adjust the number of data fields on the data screen. <== adjust till you see one field
    • Select a field to change the data that appears in the field <== select single run field

    Let me know if this gets you going. Once configured you can adjust the settings through Garmin Connect Mobile.

    Many many thanks.. worked perfectly. :)
  • Feedback Requested

    If you are currently using a FR735XT or Fenix Chronos and have upgraded to the new 5.0.0 release of Single Run Field or Single Field, I would like confirmation that everything is working as expected? Some of the changes were:

    • added power as a selectable data type;
    • allowed selection of HR, cadence, power for both sides of the pace value;
    • allowed selection of current, average, and lap for HR/cadence/power;
    • updated pace/speed to have current, average, lap, 5s/10s/30s/60s;
    • added lap distance;
    • allowed for customization of all user selections for running, biking, or other;

    The majority of these are only going to be available to the CIQ2 capable devices due to memory limitations on older devices. I'm working on bring the lap pace/speed, distance at a minimum to the older devices.
  • IMPORTANT
    Some users have reported issues with the data field after the upgrade. Please report any issues here so I can work through what is happening.

    EDIT: 5.0.1 has be released to address issues users were having, please upgrade to that if you are having problems.

    I have a FR235 and got the Single Run Field installed for few months and was running perfectly. About 2 weeks ago, the app stop working and only show up a blank screen with IQ logo on it. My Training Calendar was not also synced. I have updated the watch firmware to latest version and it solved the Calendar issue. I also downloaded the Single Field Run new version 5.0.1 from Connect IQ Store and sync to the watch. Set Screen 1 to 1 Field display and select Single Field Run for the field but still got a blank screen with IQ logo.

    In Garmin Express, remove Single Run Field and disconnect the watch from the computer. Ensure it is no longer installed by trying to add it and making sure it isn't in the available list of fields. Once that is completed, try adding the field back through Express on the watch and configuring it. Let me know if that works. Also, if you could check if there is anything in /GARMIN/GARMIN/APPS/LOGS/CIQ_LOG.TXT?
  • Working nicely on the Fenix 5!
    I was wondering, would it be possible to have an option to display "Average Pace" in the top field ? That would really make it "universal" with all "necessary" info on one page, thanks !

    I'll see what is possible, the newer devices have more memory so it is a little more flexible.
  • Back Light always on function in this screen

    Am I going crazy, or did this data screen have a function that allowed the back light to be always on? Using a VivoActive HR and I do most of my running in the dark (morning) and riding as well. I swore I saw that option, but can't figure out how to get it to work...

    This data field doesn't control the back light in any way so you should be able to use any system configured options for timing, gestures, etc.
