• Hi,
I am new here in the forum and have ordered my Fenix 3 just yesterday.

I am pleased about your app, very nice!
My issue is to have many datafields in one screen, like your development!
So far so good but:
I do not need it for running but for mounaineering. So my question:
Is it possible to change the datafields easily? If not, would you be willing to crelease a new app for mountaineers, I would try to give you my ideas.
I am not able to program it by myself!

Regards
Jo

• Hi,

first of all congrats with this amazing datafield. I use it every workout and works great. I wondered if it's possible to add an option in the time datafield to view the remaining time?

At this time the SDK doesn't provide that information to the developer.

The thread is active but sometimes life gets in the way. The data fields are pretty much set and provide some customization as you have already noticed. Due to memory restrictions and providing a stable experience for the users already enjoying the field, lap calculations are the main item on the development path. Currently my work load is large enough I can't take on anything else at this point. I have noticed in the store some datafields and apps geared towards trail running and hiking, maybe one of them will get you closer to what you need.
• Hi lcj2,

thanks for your answer.
I was not aware, that it is so much effort just to change the datafields, without changing the design or so.

the optimum of course would be to make the content of datafields itself adaptable by the user. But this would be much mor efford I fear

No me funciona, no se como encontrarlo

Without knowing the device it is pretty hard to give instructions on the steps to configure the data field, I assume that is the issue your having.

How to activate?

I downloaded to my 735XT, but can't figure out how to activate it.

From the watch face do the following:

1. Click the top right button once to enter activity selection
2. Use the up arrow to scroll through the activities till you get to the one you want to customize (probably run or bike), only scroll, don't enter the activity
3. Select Menu > Activity Settings > Data Screens.
4. Select a screen.
Some screens can only be turned on or off.
5. If necessary, edit the number of data fields. <== should be one data field
6. Select a data field to change it. <== should be the Single Field

"Updating..."

hey lcj2 - love the Single Run Field app, been using it for several months now. Since the October update (or maybe even since September), seeing a weird behavior, and I think it may be related to Single Run Field data field. My FR235 keeps kicking into an "Updating..." loop every few hours (sometimes more often), and about 10% of the time it locks the watch up completely requiring a hard power cycle (I think if I walk away from my phone while it's happening). I suspect it's actually a problem with most recent Garmin firmware and Connect app on my phone, but they of course had me wipe the device, reinstall apps, etc., claiming something was corrupt (which is dumb). I'm continuing to push back on Garmin support, but wanted to mention it to you, too. A friend of mine with an FR230 has had the same issue, btw, and - like me - the only 3rd party apps he has installed is Single Run Field and Actiface (other developer). Is there anything in your data field that would trigger the "Updating..." loop? Thanks!
